If you are an interviewer, if you are a job, you will be Wearing many hatsprobably red flag For you, you are setting it for failure. I’m Jeff Altman, a big hunter. People don’t have employed my BS job coaches and career advice worldwide because the process of finding a job and being successful is easier.
You know, we’ve all heard about it Jack of all industriesand often said in a derogatory way. By the way, the full quote is “The master of Jack (None) in all industries is usually better than one’s master.” But in modern times, this is not the case. When you are asked to wear many hats, if you are asked to take on multiple responsibilities that seem to be different for you, the problem is that you are setting up failure. Why? It always disappoints someone. Things you will not be very good at, you will be asked to do so, you will be disappointed. And, they will hang it on your head as if you are incompetent. No one wants to get into this situation. So I always stop people from playing roles, ask you to take multiple responsibilities and set it up for failures.
