Delta plans to uninterrupted new Peru from Salt Lake City

Delta Airlines will launch its first ever uninterrupted South America from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).
Delta said on Friday that by December 4, Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) in Lima, Peru offers daily flights. The airline will use the Boeing 767-300ER to operate the new route.
Delta’s new Salt Lake City route will make it easier for southbound travelers to check out many of Peru’s wonders, from Machu Picchu to Amazon rainforest, and northbound tourists enjoy Utah’s mountains and national parks.

But as exciting as two destinations, the route deepens the connection between the Delta and South American partner Latan. Lima is LATAM’s second largest hub, and Salt Lake City is the planned data displayed by Delta’s fourth largest aeronautical company Cirium. This means providing travelers in any direction with plenty of new one-stop connection opportunities for travelers, such as Lima to Boise or Salt Lake City to Cordoba, Argentina.
It is also worth noting that Delta’s second uninterrupted airline – it only offers the Peruvian capital from its Megahub at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), which is one of its larger hubs from the fast-growing Salt Lake City, rather than its metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) or Minneapolis-ster. Paul International Airport (MSP).

“This new route is an important milestone for the Delta and our customers in Salt Lake City and across the West,” Paul Baldoni, senior vice president of network planning at the airline, said in a statement. “With this extended connectivity through this Salt Lake City hub, we are honored to provide a faster and easier way to reach Lima and other major cities across South America.”
Salt Lake City Airport officials estimate the route will open 30 new one-stop destinations to local travelers.
Delta and Latam have a partnership in 2022. The agreement allows them to coordinate everything from routes and schedules to tickets and jointly sell flight tickets.
Cirium Shigeets shows that since their debut in their partnership, Delta Airlines and LATAM have added seven new routes between the United States and South America. These include flights from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Bogota, El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Colombia and Arturo Merino BenÃtez International Airport (SCL) in Santiago, Chile; from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Sao Paulo Guarajos International Airport (GRU); from John Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Galio International Airport (GIG) in Rio de Janeiro.
The new long-distance route has also been five years after opening a new terminal in Salt Lake City to promote growth in the Delta hub. The airline launched the airport’s only non-stop travel to Asia in June, flying to Incheon International Airport (ICN) in Seoul, South Korea every day.
