ihg a reward prime minister
If you stay at IHG Properties at least a few times a year, then the Prime Minister may be the right choice for you.
Welcome bonus: Earn 165,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first three months of the account opening.
The best quotes we saw on this card are up to 300,000 points (five free nights at 60,000 points per person; no longer available). This makes the current offer less profitable, but improves the 140,000 bonus points of its standard offer.
In addition, the minimum expenditure requirement is relatively low and should be easily achieved.
Annual Fee: $99

Why we like it: This card has a free night on every account anniversary, worth up to 40,000 points, and there is a choice of rewards to redeem it for more precious nights.
Other important benefits include free IHG Platinum Elite identity (with a pathway with diamonds), up to $50 per year for United Travelbank cash, and a filing fee of every four years for global entry, TSA Precheck or Nexus, all paying an annual fee of $99.
When you consider the potential value you can get from it, taking into account the useless benefits of the card’s fourth night (when you pay three nights with points and get a fourth reward) is an important consideration. Reward nights start at just 10,000 minutes, from actual choices in the United States to stay abroad in Brazil, Brazil and beyond.

This is the best offer we’ve seen on the card and it’s also the first time that it’s free night as part of the welcome bonus. Free nights plus 40,000 bonus points give you a total value of up to 140,000 points, worth $700 according to TPG’s September 2025 valuation.

Why we like it: Prime Ministers’ businesses imitate many of the same benefits of personal Prime Minister’s Cards.
For example, the free night prizes annually (worth up to 40,000 points) can peak with unlimited points, and you can also enjoy elite allowances thanks to the automatic Platinum Elite identity that comes with this card. Cardholders can receive another free night prize (maximum value of 40,000 points; be able to get the highest point) after spending $60,000 per calendar year.
Other benefits include reimbursement of application fees for entry to the world, TSA Precheck or Nexus, free free rewards for the fourth night every four years and up to $50 per year in United Travelbank cash.

Reasons other than getting an IHG reward card
It’s tempting to add a new card bonus point to your wallet, but these three cards offer a lot of potential value in addition to their initial points.
Elite identity
Each IHG reward card offers free elite identity.
For example, Prime Minister and Main business Cardholders obtain Platinum Elite status.
If you spend more than a few nights a year at IHG Properties, you should be able to recover $99 annual fee on the consumer or commercial version of your Premier card. Platinum Elite Benefits include early check-in and late checkout (as the case may be) and 60% bonus points for IHG stays.
The fourth night’s profit
All IHG reward cardholders will automatically reward for the fourth consecutive night. In short, the fourth night is free when you redeem four or more hours.

The value of this benefit depends on your travel style. This may not be very useful for travelers who book only short hotel accommodations, but it can be very valuable for those travelers who spend enough time to take advantage of this allowance. And, there is no limit on this benefit how many points you can save.
With our September 2025 IHG Points valuation at 0.5 cents, saving you $100 worth of IHG Points with a 20,000-point property.

Category Bonus
IHG reward cards can help you improve your points quickly, thanks to their reward categories – including gasoline, which can be expensive for many families to buy recurringly.
But it’s better than that. You will also receive a 60% bonus on IHG Hotel Stays thanks to Premier and Premier Buns Grant You Aff Platinum Elite identities.

IHG A reward base member earns 10 points per dollar on most properties, so 60% of the elite bonus offers 16 points per dollar on IHG Properties. Add this to the 10 points you earn for each dollar of two cards and you will spend 26 points on these cards on IHG hotel accommodation, which is equivalent to a 13% return (based on TPG’s September 2025 valuation).
Purchase discount
Finally, if you need to get the highest level in your IHG Points balance, you can get a 20% discount when purchasing points with your card. Combined with the ability to get a free night certificate, this revitalization may be convenient if you want to save on the ideal accommodation rewards.

Application Rules
You can have multiple IHG credit cards, but know that like all other Chase cards, IHG reward cards are subject to Chase’s 5/24 rules. This means that if you have opened five or more personal credit card accounts in all banks over the past 24 months, then Chase is unlikely to approve you.
Please note that if any of these exclusions apply to you, you are not eligible:
- For personal cards: If you currently have a personal IHG reward credit card (which includes an old IHG reward selection credit card; new applicants are no longer available), or you have received a new cardholder bonus for any personal IHG credit card in the past 24 months.
- For IHG business card: You have earned new card bonuses on this card over the past 24 months.
