ESR Magnetic Wallet Halolock, found mine for $36 Just like Apple’s Magsafe wallet, this person has also received my support. You can use the flaps on the back as grip and fit both cards easily. It does require charging, which is annoying, but after six months it won’t lose much battery life. However, charging requires a proprietary cable, so don’t lose it. Do you really want to charge your wallet?
Otterbox Symmetrical Series Cactus Leather Magsafe Wallet, Priced at $45: Very simple. It’s thin, lightweight, has a strong grip on my phone case and offers a dedicated fabric-covered slot at the bottom to push the card out (I was able to fit three without much hassle). The wallet is made of cactus-based leather and feels almost as luxurious as real leather. Just knowing that the environmentally friendly cactus leather is not as good as it uses – these cases are still infused with layers of plastic.
Apple Finewoven magsafe case, priced at $59: Whenever your wallet is separated from your iPhone, you get an alert and you can track it in Apple’s Find My App. It has a single slot that can install three cards, but to remove the card you have to remove it from your iPhone and push the card upwards through the slot on the back. Unfortunately, Apple’s Magsafe wallet specializes in the company’s proprietary fine-woven materials (made from recycled materials). It’s a commendable effort to reduce dependence on leather production, but several wired reviewers say that after some time, the materials don’t solidify everything well.
Bluebonnet Minimalist Full Broken Leather Magazine Wallet Card Holder, Priced at $65: Bluebonnet’s wallet is thin, even with cards inside and elastic grips, you can place your fingers on your fingers to secure your phone more securely. The magnet is stronger than other wallets I’ve tested, although the bottom is a little moved when using the grip. Bluebonnet claims it can install up to three cards, but I can only fit two (my license and debit card). Inserting or deleting more efforts is a hard effort.
Avoid this wallet
oh! Snap Grip wallet for $80: I have high hopes for this, mainly because of its construction quality. The wallet is made of aluminum and can hold up to eight cards (depending on whether they are lettered or not), has magsafe support and has grip strength that can be used as a kick. Unfortunately, the grip is made of plastic and it breaks after a short time (it doesn’t fold properly back into place). Even if there is a tile-approved box on the phone, the magnetic fixing is not as strong as other MagSafe wallets. None of these are great, especially at this high price.
MagSafe is a magnetic technology built into Apple’s iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15 and iPhone 16. It consists of magnet rings on the back of the phone and was developed to create a faster and more accurate wireless charging system. However, the magnet on the back also allows you to connect it to different kinds of accessories such as external batteries, car mounts and wallets.
If you use a box on your iPhone, you need to make sure you have a MagSafe case (the case itself will have a magnet ring). This will ensure the correct connection to the MagSafe accessories. Can the Magsafe wallet be used with Android phones?
To use a MagSafe wallet with an Android phone (or new iPhone 16e), you need to use a MagSafe box. Many case manufacturers have started adding a circle of magnets to the Android phone case to enjoy with the iPhone fixed port. This year and 2026, we may see more Android smartphones and support QI2 (Next-Gen wireless charging technology). Much of the new standard is modeled on Apple’s MagSafe, which means that magnetic charging systems will become more extensive and will be able to locally utilize the same MagSafe accessories, even if not.
Will Magsafe wallet eliminate my credit card?
No, Apple’s MagSafe Tech won’t eliminate your credit card. Credit cards have a powerful magnetic stripe encoding that is enough to prevent it from being eliminated, and the MagSafe wallet in this guide comes with a built-in shielding designed to keep your cards safe from this problem.
