How do I redeem Hilton Honor Point for my first hotel stay in London

Maybe it’s me, but I’ve read a lot of times about limited-time credit card offers and immediately depicted how I redeem these bonus points for travel. So it can be tempting to apply for a quote for every new card I encountered. However, not all cards are equal, while some are better than others.
So this is my recent card, Hilton Honors American ExpressSuppass® card. This card caught my interest as it spent $3,000 on the card purchases in the first six months of card membership and is currently offering 130,000 bonus points (offered on August 13). Also, the first year’s annual introductory is $0, followed by an annual fee of $150 (see Fees and Fees).
As an advocate for winning transferable reward points, I was initially unsure if I wanted a common card before I could read the Hiltons beyond.
As the Hiltons surpassed my annual fee preference, I saw the upcoming trip to London Unlock – mainly thanks to its welcome offer of 130,000 points.
Hilton has a huge business in London, so I know I have a lot of options to redeem my Hilton Honors Points.
Getting a welcome bonus is half the battle, but actually redeeming your points for good value can be challenging, especially if you accumulate 130,000 points of hiding. That’s why I’m going to guide you through the way I searched and booked the Hilton Awards in London so you can easily find the redemption that suits you and start daydreaming.

How do I search for Hilton Awards in London
Once I got approval from the Hiltons, I started to look at the Hilton Hotel in London. While you can play it safely and then wait until you get a welcome bonus to start planning your trip, you can also view the reward rate while you are still spending on your new card, which is what I did.
Before I applied for this card, there were so many bucket lists to London that I was already planning when to go and about where to live. So even before I get my welcome bonus, it’s easy for me to start thinking about how to redeem my bonus points.

I want a hotel in central London with a walk to Tower Bridge and the train station. Canopy in Hilton London checked all the boxes, so I booked a two-night stay with 65,000 Hilton Honors Points per night.
You can use Hilton’s Point Explorer tool to find hotels by location, the number of points you want to spend per night, and the type of property you are looking for (e.g., whether it’s at the beach, golf club, resort or one of the all-inclusive ones). This can help people narrow their search.

When searching for reward rates, make sure you are logged in and check the Use Points box to see the points price per night instead of the cash rate.

How to find the best rate for booking rewards
Flexibility is often the key to getting the most value.
Since Hilton uses dynamic reward pricing, redemption rates may vary by several factors. You can usually find the best prices on off-peak dates. So if you are willing to travel on one of these dates, you will get a better deal.
If you want to get a bird’s-eye view at the reward price, don’t place specific dates when searching. Once you find the hotel you are interested in, click on “Select Date” on your preferred hotel to view the calendar that will show the points you need per night throughout the year.

I find it available every night at Canopy in Hilton London City at 65,000 o’clock.
However, these reward rates are higher in July, with prices on most dates at 80,000 per night.

If you look at the January 2026 reward prices, you will see some dates as low as 59,000 a night.

While winter may not be the best time to visit London, it may be a great way to get the value of your opinion. It all depends on how you are traveling.
For example, if you stay in the King’s House in July, this would allow Hilton members to grant a flexible interest rate of $549, or 80,000 Hilton points. The redemption rate per point is about 0.7 cents, higher than TPG’s July 2025 Hilton points valuation at 0.5 cents per point.

For the January King’s room, the price is 65,000 a night, and the cash rate is about $262 a night. This will only put you at 0.4 cents per point, down from TPG’s July 2025 valuation of 0.5 cents per point. With interest rates slightly below our valuation, you may need to choose to pay cash and save points. However, if you want to cut the cost of international travel, paying points for your hotel accommodation can help you save money.

Overall, if you want to maximize your rewards, TPG recommends always comparing the cash price to the cost of points per night, because sometimes, paying cash may be better value if you want to maximize your points.

How to book a hotel with Hilton points
Once you have determined the date you want to stay, your next step is to select a room.

You may see multiple rates here, depending on the bed or room size. When I booked London Redemption, I chose a King’s room every night for 65,000 o’clock.
Pay attention to your balance here, but be aware that if your ideal redemption is more than you can get in your account, you can also refill your cash with cash.
You can see an example of points and redemption here.

Since I have redeemed my 130,000 welcome offer, my Hilton Honor balances on the slimmer side. But you can see how much cash I currently have to pay if I want to book another accommodation.

Bottom line
The shapes and sizes of redemption come in all shapes and sizes, and there is no perfect way to book a trip. However, redeeming Hilton points can be simple, especially if you can choose the date you work with your current balance.
When I applied for Hilton Honors Overcoming, I knew exactly how I wanted to spend 130,000 bonus points – I did. Next time you apply for a reward card, consider letting your imagination take you to the next redemption. This may be easier than you think.
