Is Southwest Prime Minister’s Enterprise worth the annual fee?

Small business owners who frequently ride Southwest Airlines may consider applying for one of the two business cards of the airline.
If it sounds like you, now may be a good time to get Southwest® RapidRewards® Premier Commercial Credit Card (See rates and fees). The card offers reliable welcome bonuses and decent stipends to Southwest loyalists who do business.
If you want to add it to your wallet, here’s what you need to know.
Welcome bonus
at present, Southwest Prime Minister’s Business Card Spending $3,000 in the first three months of the account opening will provide 60,000 bonus points.
TPG’s August 2025 valuation will reward this 60,000 points, $810. This is the standard quote we usually see on this card.

Earn
this Southwest Prime Minister’s Business Card Earn multiple bonus categories including:
- 3 points spent on purchases in the Southwest
- A total of $8,000 per week for $8,000 per anniversary year, spending 2 o’clock per dollar at gas stations and restaurants
- Spend 2 points per dollar on Quick Reward Hotels and Car Rental Partners*
- Spend 2 points per dollar on local buses and commuting, including ride**
- Spend 1 point per dollar anywhere else

Apart from Southwest purchases, the card is far from the most valuable earner available. Adding the gasoline and restaurant bonus categories is a good option, but having a spending cap doesn’t seem to be needed.
If you spend most of your business budget on specific business expenses outside of travel, you may benefit more from the revenue structure of one of our favorite business cards.
Also, since some reward categories will be removed at the end of the year, you want to see where the most are to see if this card makes sense to you.

TPG’s August 2025 valuation is $81, with two early birds signing in at least $30 (up to $198). Even before taking advantage of any foster care opportunities or transfer discounts, these two benefits alone can make an annual fee worth $149 worth.
Also, if you transfer points to another account periodically, a $500 transfer fee credit will be particularly valuable. Although many of these benefits are over, you can still take advantage of them before the year ends
Additionally, on flights operating next year, you will receive priority boarding and preferred seats within 48 hours of departure. Since Southwest has announced that it is implementing seat missions, this benefit can help you save some money.
Finally, a 15% discount promotion code for flights can also help you recover some of your annual fee fees depending on how expensive the tickets you book.

Additionally, you can get a staff card for free.
The card also does not charge foreign transaction fees, which can be helpful if you find yourself abroad. Even so, given the limited international routes of Southwest routes, if you travel internationally frequently, you may want to build loyalty through different airlines.

Alternatives
Of course, there is no card for everyone. If you want more Southwest allowances or flexible rewards, different cards can better suit your business.
If you’re flying the Southwest a lot and want a card that offers extra privileges, Southwest® RapidRewards® Performance Business Credit Card (See rates and fees) may be a better option.
It has a higher $299 annual fee, but also offers a stronger money-making structure and such as 9,000th anniversary points, 8 $8 in-flight Wi-Fi credit (as of December 31), unlimited super-external seat upgrades (running after running after January 27, 2026) and Global Inbound or TSA Precheck Cretcect of Flights (for running after running).
