When I was in search and now as a career coach, I was always preparing people for interviews. I sometimes make some assumptions about interview preparation and sometimes prove to be wrong.
I thought people would:
Clean clothes to wear,
Dress correctly,
Arrival on time
Be prepared to talk about your experience,
Researching the company you are interviewing
. . . There are a few other things.

This week, I was surprised to hear a client who was interviewing someone who didn’t take the time to research their company.
How would you join a company that knows nothing or knows nothing about you?
Research these days is very easy because of the availability of five tools:
Their website
Youtube
AI
It is so easy to view a company’s website that most companies have a “About Us” page.
On LinkedIn, at the top of the page, the search defaults to Search People. If you use the drop-down menu, you will find that it also includes a “Search Company”. Search for a company and you will not only find basic information about the company, but also people working on the network.
Contact those companies and the people you are interviewing.
Google allows you to search for information about your company, but it offers other incredible things – the people you used to work in the company.
YouTube may show that companies and others are sharing information about the company.
You can ask about the AI model you like as a researcher and study the background of the people you meet. Make sure you tell it not to form anything, and you can also tell you where each statement comes from
When a few minutes can pay a huge reward, it is ridiculous to walk into an interview without knowing anything and trying to understand the company in the interview.
