Networking means connecting with like-minded people, friends, and professional partners and building relationships that you are called an expert in your field. For me, it’s an activity of a lifetime, not just what you do when you’re looking for a job. You communicate between hunting cycles to work to your doorstep. Consider that when people run for president of the United States, they not only show up at the door the day before Election Day and say, “Hi! I’m the candidate.”

The presidential candidates, as well as candidates from the lower office, have been running for years before the first election (and so are the subsequent campaigns, so people know who they are. Well, the network will be your Continuous campaigns, your lifelong efforts to ensure you are able to stay in touch with the people you work with, others know you and how they can contact you when they need it.

It may be the opposite of your habit at first, but you need to start the database of the people you contact. Even if you may not think that a given person can help you in the future, on the way, you will need to visit them in order to be able to return to that person and contact them again.

The manager you worked with you two years ago, you did a great job and now have entered another organization and are an important person to stay in touch with you because they know your skills and abilities. They have seen your best. They are a person who can recommend you to your company or others within other companies.

There are several resources available to make the networking process easier. LinkedIn is probably the most popular professional website in the world today. Normal network groups in specific departments and fields have also existed over the past 20 or 30 years. These people will come together regularly to share potential customers and stay up to date with the latest situation in certain business areas.

You can also connect with people inside your company or away from your nearest company. One of my favorite tips is to make sure you get their phone number and email address the day people notice, as this is the person you can reach out to and can be used as a reference or as an entry point for a new organization. You can also get proof from them before they leave.

Many of you may be more “analytical” or “introverted”; many are just natural social creatures, and when you are not there, you can pretend you are going to be out. So, how could a person who is introverted rather than a socially proficient in the Internet?

Just realize that the network can be very simple. It can be simple, like having lunch with different people in your department a few times a week. If you work for a small company and you have lunch with two other people a month and those people happen to leave, they will provide you with a reference; they are other organizations you provide for you. Multiply these two by 22 strange people and you might have lunch with over a year, which is the starting point for any natural character introversion to other organizations.

Being considered an expert in your field is also valuable. The attitude that employers take is that you have accomplished great things and have built a name for yourself in your industry (even if you Don’t believe it). This is indeed one of the good ways to take. Self-promotion hiring based on being an expert will help you not only help you get more or better jobs, but also make you more money than those who are not considered an expert. After all, we don’t pay more because someone approves the product?

I remember a few years ago a very analytical type friend of mine decided it was time to move to another organization, but as a natural introvert, he found it uncomfortable for him to talk to people. Because he has achieved great success in mathematics and finance, I suggest he start writing based on some of the research he has been doing and has obtained some of the published research. He pursued this path.

Well, one day, the knock came and a large bank called him to take over a department inside the company, which led to the opportunity to take on a partner position with the management consulting firm and eventually gained another opportunity for leaders within the overseas banking firm.

Now, suddenly, we’re talking about someone who makes $85,000 a year, jumping his own income to three-quarters guarantee, plus bonuses, all because he spent some time elevating himself to his own field expert.

What we are talking about here is an entrepreneur’s approach to career building, which is a guerrilla marketing. Today, it is difficult to publish a simple article in Industry Magazine. There are so many out there that it is almost stupid not to seek publication. They are all looking for articles. You can also post about LinkedIn and share it with your connections and groups.

You will be amazed at how suddenly you become an expert in your organization and how you can increase your market value. Now you are called the preferred person in the field and people can trust. This is a network technology that may be effective for those with a natural outgoing personality who are unlikely to be on the links to golf courses.

However, I do encourage you, naturally introverted people, to strive to be satisfied with your social situation. Attend regular Toastmasters meetings and place yourself in front of the people there. adventure. Introverts spend a lot of money on the open market. This can cost you a lot of opportunities and greatly limit the options you can use.

You may be interested in knowing that I am a natural introvert. But, due to my ambition, I had to learn to adapt. When I started attending web conferences, I hated it at first. I just hate them because I feel uncomfortable. But, I learned a valuable lesson that I don’t have to talk about myself. All I have to do is start asking people about themselves. This is the best way to have a natural conversation.

I decided to study it with this attitude: “Hey, I’m just going to make friends here. I’m not going to try to sell myself, I’m not going to try to do business. I just want to make some connections and friends.” Sure enough, I realized that the real network was happening outside of the network incident: when we went out for a walk or met for coffee. Now, I have lifelong friends I met through online activities. They have been referring customers to me. I started to be scared of the whole network idea, so I proved it works, even with introverts.

The biggest lesson of all this – the more they say on the web and in your interviews, the more they like you. It can go back to Dale Carnegie’s how Win friends and influence people. The first lesson he taught was to not speak. Just listen. it works.

In addition to meeting new people, there are many different places to take advantage of your previous and current relationships. For example, IBM Club has a former employee. The value of being part of this exclusive group is direct friendship. You all have known each other and through the agent, you can access everyone your colleagues know.

The idea is: would your interview be much easier if the interviewer knew you and understood the experience you needed to fill a position and Excel? They can trust you more. Having the same values ​​and sharing experiences already has a shared wisdom. Like fellow countrymen, they always respect each other because they fall into treachery.

The Internet can be fun. It only looks like it’s working at the beginning. Once you figure out these are the good people you like, suddenly it doesn’t work anymore.
