Seven new routes announced last month have emerged, Allegiant Air announced its latest expansion Tuesday, including its latest destination: Huntsville, Alabama.

It is part of the five-way expansion unveiled by the low-cost airline on Tuesday, with three routes titles for Huntsville International Airport (HSV) in northern Alabama, south of the Tennessee border, which are popular resorts in Florida.

All new flights will be launched between November 2025 and March 2026 and will touch Sunshine State in some capacity.

Double the leisure strategy – Alabama

For Allegiant, the expansion is clearly part of the airline’s tried-and-tested strategy to connect U.S. cities with popular resorts and often through less affluent airports near those metropolitan areas such as SFB and PIE.

After not serving the state at all, the airline has been adding routes to the coastal areas of Alabama through the Gulf Coast International Airport (GUF), noting that it is suitable for mold as a previously unsanitary resort (many of its customers were driving to visit before). Now, Allegiant will serve two cities in the state.

Cheap fares available

As part of Tuesday’s expansion, the airline announced promotional fares for several of the new routes, some starting at base fares as low as $39. Remember that if you want to check the bag, choose a seat or ride a full size carry-on, you may pay extra. Promotional fares must be booked before August 13 to travel by May 19, 2026.
