EVA Airways’ new premium economy cabin makes our debut this fall

Taiwan-based airline EVA Airways will bring its brand new premium economy cabin to the United States for the first time.

The remodeled cabin with premium lounge chairs and new spacious seatback screens will be the U.S. debut this fall when it launches its inaugural Taipei service from Dallas Worth International Airport (DFW).

Back in February, TPG was the first to report that EVA plans to launch a new premium economy product on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. This is a milestone for the airline, which claims it is the world’s first pioneer to pioneer premium economy class in the early 1990s.

Eva’s new premium economy class

EVA’s new premium economy is arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration with 28 seats with leather finishes, a cradle tilt and a 42-inch pitch, meaning plenty of legroom (many trainer cabin seats hover at 30 to 32-inches).

The airline has launched a new premium mid-sized Cabrin product between the Taiwan Taoyang International Airport (TPE) home base in Jakarta, Indonesia and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), but is now planning to deploy 787-9 of 787-9 and start on October 3 with a new DFW flight in its brand new DFW flight.

“The evolution of this product reflects our commitment to greater comfort and convenience for passengers, while meeting the growing demand for a more spacious, more refined long-distance travel experience,” Andrew Su Su, executive vice president of North America, Eva, said in a statement announcing the announcement.

Eva’s newly configured 787-9S will be available in a three-bottle configuration, the airline’s Dreamliners fleet, including its Lie-Flat Royal Laurel commercial class, premium economy and main cabin.

In addition to larger seats in the premium economy than coaches, EVA’s premium economy products will also be equipped with a larger, adjustable tray table designed for personal devices for phones and tablets, privacy panels and tasty headphones.

The operator will also serve high-end meals on tableware from Italian brand Guzzini.

When did Eva start flying to Dallas?

EVA’s DFW route will be launched on October 3, with three round trips a week. The airline will expand its flights to North Texas between October and the end of the year, with five flights a week starting November 18 and daily service starting December 15.

DFW will be the seventh city of EVA and the second in Texas; the airline has been flying continuously between TPE and Houston’s George Bush InterContinental Airport (IAH).

Last year, airline executives told TPG that the airline is also focusing on Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) near Washington, D.C.

How to book Eva with points and miles

Travelers looking to book an EVA Premium Economy Class (or its new DFW route) have some options:

  • You can transfer Citi Thanks Rewards Points to EVA Infinity Mileagelands at a 1:1 ratio.
  • The capital mile also moved directly to the EVA, but was reduced in a 4:3 ratio, so 1,000 miles would turn into 750 EVA miles.

Bottom line

Eva improves its advanced race on U.S. routes when it plays solid races on flights between the United States and Taiwan, especially when Starlux Airlines exists in North America.

It is also worth noting: Southwest Airlines recently announced that it will cooperate with Chinese airlines located in Taiwan.

Meanwhile, Eva told TPG that it also painted remodels for its highest-end cabin on certain aircraft and involved suites with sliding private doors in its Royal Laurel cabin. However, the carrier has not officially announced any such plans. stay tuned.
