Here I answered a question wondering why someone met with 1 client after the recruiter asked after the interview.
Hedge Fund Brainteasers: What did I eat for lunch?
I’m Jeff Altman, the big game hunter, head coach of Jobs search. I have been a professional recruiter for more than 40 years. I think I can solve this problem. The question is, why do recruiters ask how the interview is conducted? Therefore, from a linguistic point of view, we like to report on the candidate’s experience.
Now, there are several reasons for this including that we really want to know how it works. These are its terms, but I just didn’t make them think of it. So, here are some other things.
The first is that we want to know if you have any knowledge about any other candidates we interviewed might be useful to us. After all, sometimes, employers don’t communicate changes to job descriptions. They just contacted many recruiters.
Although we might talk to them, they forgot to tell recruiters that they have changed their minds about certain aspects of the job. So, that’s one thing. So how they explain your position may be one of the follow-up questions.
So, the sequence may disappear, how is the interview conducted? What kind of thing do they ask you? They tried to find it. . . Recruiters are trying to find out. . . I always think of myself as a recruiter because I’ve been doing it for so long. But they try to find out what questions you might be asked. How do they explain the position to you? You know, sometimes, job descriptions lack some important works that do tempt or indicate that the job is flawed.
Like, why do anyone want to do this? So there are many reasons why recruiters will ask this question, including basic mediocrity, and I wonder if I have the chance to make money with you. I also wonder if I should call the client because if you say, oh, that’s horrible. Oh, it just knocked me down.
Why do I put my head in a noose and have myself call my client and then hey, how can you figure out how bad it is and then tie it to your bad performance? Recruiters won’t find it easier to get more interviews. So, it’s mainly for reasons to get information, but also to find out if you can make a deal, if you might be the one you’re employed, so the recruiter earns a commission. I’m Jeff Altman, a big hunter.
