Rovemyers hotel deals available to book now

Rove Miles entered the loyalty space earlier this year with the launch of a travel booking platform similar to many credit card travel portals, but without the need for a credit card. Anyone can join Rove for free, earn and spend Rove Miles through the platform through the purchase of flights, hotels and gift cards, as well as transfer miles to Rove’s 13 transfer partners.
Speaking of hotels, Rove’s booking platform offers a wide range of hotels, some at very good prices. You can earn up to 45 miles per $1 spent at certain hotels; in some cases, you can earn enough miles from a one-night stay to book a second night at the same hotel.
Whether you’re looking for festive fun, a sunny beach holiday or an adventure on the slopes, here are some of the best deals you can book now.

Have fun at the Christmas markets
There’s no better way to get into the festive spirit than with mulled wine and roasted chestnuts at a traditional German Christmas market, and you don’t have to travel all the way to Europe to experience the magic.
The Pendry Chicago is less than 20 minutes’ walk from one of the best Christmas markets in the United States. You can pre-order it at Rove on Saturday night, December 6, for $364 or 13,000 miles, plus $41 tax. You can earn an impressive 36 miles per dollar spent (11,642 total miles) by booking with cash, or get a value of 2.5 cents per mile with award stays.

Compared to Chase’s Points Boost, you can earn up to 2 cents per point when redeeming Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Other credit card platforms, such as Capital One Travel and American Express Travel, offer as little as 1 cent per point.
Another great feature? Rove Miles allows you to accumulate Hotel Rewards Program benefits at certain hotels. For example, you can earn Marriott Bonvoy points and Elite Stay points when you book the Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Downtown/Loop through Rove. However, the profitability and redemption rates of these properties may not be as impressive.

Even better, Rove recently announced that loyalty-eligible hotels will have the hotel itself as the merchant (instead of Rove Miles)—meaning you can stack hotel credit card offers and offers. For example, let’s say you have a Chase Marriott credit card that includes a Chase Residence Inn hotel benefit. You can use this credit card to book the above hotels through Rove to earn Marriott points and get statement points through the Chase Offer on top of the Rove miles you earn.

Warm up with a beach vacation

If you’ve already endured the cold weather, escape to the beach at the all-inclusive Royal Cancun Grand Park Hotel in Mexico. You can book a Deluxe King Room on Friday, December 12 for $442 and earn 39 miles per $1 spent on your stay, for a total of 17,163 Rove miles. Alternatively, you can redeem just 16,000 miles plus a $1.80 hotel fee, for a value of 2.8 cents per mile.

Keep in mind that Rove’s best prices may apply with non-refundable booking options. In this case, you’d only earn 19 miles per $1 spent on stays, or get a lower redemption value of 1.7 cents per mile on the refundable alternative — still a pretty good deal.
Another great option for a hot-weather getaway is Honolulu’s Surftop Hotel & Swim Club. Rove Miles is offering a single-bedroom bungalow on Friday, December 12, for $884, and you’ll earn 45 miles for every $1 spent during your stay, for a total of 39,781 miles. Or, you can redeem 23,000 miles a night for 3.8 cents a night.

Another thing to note: Room rates at Rove can vary by room type. In this example, the cheaper two-bedroom suite ($676 per night) only earns 10 miles per dollar spent on the stay, or a redemption value of just 1.5 cents per mile.

Go skiing on vacation

If you prefer a ski trip, try Aspen Meadows Resort, which is located among some of Colorado’s best ski mountains, including Aspen, Snowmass and Buttermilk.
Starting Monday, December 22, Junior Suites start at $1,392 per night, and you’ll earn 27 miles per $1 spent on your stay, for a total of 36,024 miles. Alternatively, you can spend 66,000 Rove miles plus $58 tax, for a flat value of 2 cents per mile.

Budget travelers will be happy to know that the Rove isn’t the only high-end luxury hotel offering great deals. Aspen’s St. Moritz Lodge & Condominiums has private dormitory double rooms with shared bathrooms available through Dec. 22 for $573. At cash prices, you can earn 38 miles for every $1 (21,789 total miles), or redeem for 21,000 miles at a value of 2.7 cents each.

bottom line
Rove Miles offers some very attractive hotel rates, including cash and miles. If you book one of these deals, be sure to maximize your purchases with a credit card that earns extra rewards on general travel purchases.
But keep in mind that prices and cancellation policies may differ between Rove and other booking platforms, including hotel websites. You may find lower rates or cheaper room types elsewhere, which may offset the rewards you can earn on Rove, so do your research before deciding where to book.
