United Airlines debuts in Denver for new club

Denver has just become the second United Airlines hub and enjoys a completely refreshing lounge.
That’s because Manchester United is in the long-awaited renovation and expansion of B West United club, which will be open to passengers on Thursday.
The B West United club near B32 has been closed since 2023 as part of a major overhaul by Manchester United at Denver International Airport (DEN).
Travel allowance: 9 family lounges worth your best
The airline has closed, renovated and expanded the B East United club and opened a brand new outpost in Hall A in 2023.
Additionally, the airline’s first ever club flight opened in Den in 2022.
But as Den continues to retain its title as Manchester United’s fastest growing hub, the airline is also looking to bring new life to B West Outpost.
Now that the flyers are ready, Den will have four United Lounge Outposts – all new or newly renovated. Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is the only hub for a brand new or newly renovated club.
Manchester United now has a total of 100,000 square feet of Manchester United club space in Denver, which can accommodate nearly 1,600 guests. (More will be added as Polaris Lounge is about to open in the coming years.)

Before the opening of the B West United club, I previewed the flyer that could be expected.
While not necessarily revolutionary, this refurbished and expanded space is a welcome advance for Manchester United travelers passing by Denver. This is why.
United Club Denver B West Visit and Location

Manchester United’s new lounge is open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
The entrance to the United Club outpost has not changed since its renovation. You will still find it located opposite the door B32.

The lobby and reception area of the lounge are at the terminal level, and assuming you are admitted, you will take the escalator (or staircase) to the lounge itself. (Note: There is an accessible elevator entrance on the side of the lounge.)

For complete access details, please check out the TPG United Club Access Guide.
United Club Denver West B layout
The design of the new Union Club is very similar to that of the B East and Concourse A.

The space is divided into two levels, with similar facilities and seating configurations on both levels.

When you enter the lounge you will be at level 3, which is also probably the busiest, as some travelers, especially those who haven’t read in the new lounge, may not realize there is another floor.

As you climb the escalator, you will see the lounge’s iconic fireplace and seating area. A variety of seating options include single recliners and sofas surrounding the (faux) fireplace.

There are increasing seats behind the fireplace, including a bunch of two-story stalls built into the walls.

Speaking of seating, there are a lot in this lounge. You are everywhere and you seem to find space to let go and relax. Manchester United said there are more than 33,000 square feet of seats with more than 600 seats, making it one of the largest clubs in the network.

Once open, overcrowding shouldn’t be a draw, at least that’s my hope – given that it greatly expands the United Club footprint in Denver.

If you turn left from the fireplace, you will be located in one of the main buffet areas in the lounge. Here you will find a bunch of two-sided dining tables, as well as a large number of bar stools and high-top seats built into the counter and free-standing room partitions.

Given that I don’t necessarily recommend locking some work here, but given that I don’t necessarily locking some work here, you’ll find other separate workstation pods along the dining area as there is how much traffic to look for buffets through this space.

Meanwhile, if you turn right from the fireplace, you will find one of the two signature poles in the lounge.

Thanks to the exposed ceiling, the space has a more industrial feel.
The bar itself is stylish, and here Manchester United’s goal is very branded – a space designed to resemble a cozy cabin.

Adjacent to this room is another space that is perfect for catching up with work. Open the aisle of the workstation, but be careful of the marble table. Their edges are sharp – enough to (unfortunately) tear my jeans apart.

Finally, there is another separate seating space behind the bar with more tables and benches on it.

The space also features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking B and C Concourses. If you are an aviation enthusiast, be sure to bring your camera with you – you will capture many great aircraft lenses from these windows.
When you are ready to ascend to level 4, you can follow the stairs, elevators or escalators.

You will arrive at a small corridor with more seating that connects the sides of the lounge.

Turning right will lead you to the buffet area on the other side, more dining tables.

There is even a supplemental restaurant space that includes the largest high-top shared workspace table I’ve seen in any United Club. It has 14 flyer seats.

As you walk from the dining area to the other side of the lounge, you will walk through another relaxing space with a central (fabricated) fireplace to grab your attention.

There are plenty of seats around the fireplace and I love the wooden ceilings, which helps promote a sense of tranquility amid the chaos of one of the busiest airports in the world.

Behind the fireplace are five navy lounge chairs, which look the most comfortable in the lounge. This is definitely a place I’ll relax when passing through Denver.

Finally, if you continue driving along the corridor with a fireplace, you will find yourself in the second bar area of the lounge.

This space is taller than the industrial feel of the downstairs bar. Here you will find inspection carpets, wooden ceiling treatments and wooden strips, all designed to resemble cozy hotels.

Even the palette used here is more family-friendly than the rest of the space.
Overall, the club shares many of the same design elements with Den’s existing outpost. It has two levels, a faux fireplace and many seating.

The design here feels a little higher than the others, but for a regular flyer, the biggest improvement in this outpost foundation will be all the extra seating.

Denver is the fastest growing joint hub, with crowds in all other lounges showing.
United Club Denver West B Food and Beverage
United and quality dining are not synonyms lately…this has not changed as the lounge opens.

The food choices displayed in the buffet during the preview event are largely similar to what you find in any other Union Club. Looking forward to sandwiches, some salads, two soups and some other options.

The airline’s dining is sure to cover the basics, but it’s not the elevated option you’ll find in Sky Clubs at Delta Air Lines, and the best food service will continue to impress in any membership lounge.
If you want to quench your thirst, there are two drinks standing on the wall near the two buffets. Here you will find a lot of non-alcoholic options, including coffee maker, drip coffee and Coca-Cola freestyle fountain.

Both bars can be used to whip your favorite cocktail or pour a glass of wine. Please note that only the house choice is commensurate with entry. Any premium dump will cost you an extra fee (in miles or cash).
United Club Denver B West Facilities
United’s new lounge does a great job of covering the basics, and this outpost is no exception. You will find plenty of seats, upscale design, fast Wi-Fi and many power outlets.

You can’t find a telephone booth, spa or conference room here – amenities are reserved primarily for credit card brand lounges or commercial class-only posts like Polaris Lounge.
However, United did build a small game room on the upper floor near the bar, with a wooden shuffle table engraved with the United Club logo.

I would prefer another or two games, but at least this should have fun among the kids of us.
You won’t find any showers in this lounge – none of Dan Club offers showers, which is a pity given all the new long-haul routes the airline has been launching from Mile High City in recent years. (Not surprisingly, I was told that the North Star Lounge will offer a shower kit.)

The lounge does offer two gender-specific toilets and offers a large number of stalls and urinals.

There are also two wellness rooms with baby tables, as well as two separate all-sex restrooms.
Bottom line

The new B West United Club is a welcome opening for those passing by Denver. It greatly expands the airline’s lounge footprint in its fastest growing airport and provides flyers with a more modern space than the ones replaced.
That said, given that this is the third new design joint club for Den’s new design, you won’t necessarily find too many surprises inside. The three designs are very similar in designs that many travelers may not be able to tell them.

But if that means getting a comfortable seat without anyone, then it will be a big enough upgrade to make many frequent flyers happy for it.
I just hope United has been trying to compete more intensely for advanced traffic in recent months.
Some phone booths and some wider food options will be of great help in improving their lounge network.
