According to the actor, it’s totally serious.
“To take every scene seriously, it’s certainly a note for me,” Frank Drebin Jr. Neeson Jr. told Mashable in an interview.
Pamela Anderson added: “You have to play it seriously to be fun.”
Paul Walter Hauser, who plays Ed Hocken Jr, agrees, highlighting the importance of separating the characters’ comedy environment from their actual emotions.
“I try not to think about what I actually said,” Hauser explained. “And Liam, if you turn it on and mute it, he does look intense, and it looks like it might be an action movie. Then, you hear what he is saying and you lose your laughter.”
