American Airlines starts providing pajamas for business-grade flyers
American Airlines’ business-grade experience will become more comfortable: Fort Worth, Texas-based airlines will begin offering pajamas to business-grade passengers.
Starting in August, departing from Fort Dallas Worth International Airport (DFW), Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will use neutral pajamas on all widebody flights from American Airlines. These flights will travel to remote destinations in East Asia, India, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, so commercial-grade passengers will surely appreciate the extra comfort of their long distance travel.
The pajama set, equipped with shirts and jogging-like pants, was designed in partnership with eco-friendly nest bedding, bed and sleep accessories brands, focusing on creating sustainable products. To ensure maximum comfort, flyers can be selected between small and medium-sized pajamas. Later this summer, the airline will also reintroduce mattresses to make the on-board experience more comfortable.

In recent years, many airlines have stopped offering pajamas and similar facilities, but now these products are returning – perhaps not by chance, as airlines will focus on customers seeking luxury travel options as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, as a result of changing patterns of leisure travel.
To book a business-grade seat on one of these U.S. flights and get a pajama set, consider using Citi® /aadvantage® PlatinumSelect® World Elite Mastercard® (e.g. citi® /aadvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard® (See rates and fees). The easiest way to view reward pricing is to search through American Airlines websites or mobile apps.
