Citigroup Elite Card Welcome Discount
First, let’s understand this gratifying bonus.
New Citigroup Elite Card Holders who apply online can earn 80,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 in the first three months of opening an account. TPG’s July 2025 valuation will be Citi Thanks for its reward points of 1.85 cents, meaning this welcome offer is worth $1,480.
At the cost of convenience, you may get a higher welcome offer. New Citigroup Elite Holders, who applied in person at Citigroup’s retail department, spent $4,000 in the first three months of opening an account, could earn 100,000 bonuses. According to TPG valuation, this offer is worth $1,850.

Am I eligible for a welcome bonus from the Citigroup Elite?
If you decide to apply for a new one Citigroup Eliteyou may have some specific questions related to bonus eligibility. We provide you with answers to some frequently asked questions.
What credit score do I need to get the Citigroup elite?
TPG recommends a minimum score of 670 to get approval from the Citigroup elite, although some people with lower scores may be approved.
If your credit score is too low, or you are still building a credit history, you should stay in class elites and buy a starter card.
What are the application rules for Citi’s new card?
Generally, Citi does not limit how many cards you can have from a bank.
However, your overall credit in all Citi cards may be restricted. So if you have this problem, please quickly call Citi’s reconsideration series to help you get approval by transferring your credit card from one Citi card to a new one. Citi’s phone number to check your application status is 1-866-606-2787.
Citi also limits how often you can get welcome bonuses on one of the cards. Once you get a bonus on your Citi Card, you will have to wait 48 months to get the welcome bonus again.
However, for new applicants, this is not a problem for the Citigroup elite, as it is a brand new card.
What if I already have other Citi cards?
Even if you take other Citi cards and earn bonuses for them, you are eligible for the Citigroup Elite. This includes Citi’s reputation, so it’s good news for the current Citi cardholder.
What if I want to apply for a new Citigroup card?
In addition to Citigroup Elite News, Citi Rewards +® Card has been renamed Citi tier ℠ card (See rates and fees).

Those who hope to win Citigroup Thanks for their reward points successfully apply for the Citigroup elite and Citigroup. New applicants will also be eligible for both bonuses.
It is worth mentioning that you can only apply for one Citi card (individual or business) every eight days, and in the 65-day window, you will not be approved for more than two cards.
The only rule is that if you have received a new bonus for your Citi Rewards+ account in the past 48 months, or convert another Citi card into a bonus you have received in the past 48 months, you won’t be able to get a welcome offer from the Citi class. These restrictions do not apply to the Citigroup elite.
