How to get 5,000 Aeroplan reward certificate using Chase Sapphire Reserve
After entering your name, your Aeroplan loyalty and your last four digits Chatong Sapphire Reserveyou will receive a flight certificate of 5,000 points. This means you can save 5,000 points on your next Aeroplan redemption (although you still have to pay taxes and fees).
You must sign up for this promotion by August 18 and your 5,000 Points Flying Credit will be valid 365 days after the day you deposit it into your account. It only applies to new reservations, not existing reservations, and the value must not be distributed among multiple passengers.
Again, you cannot transfer the certificate to another Aeroplan account. However, you can put it into practice, book your flight reward for another traveler and book for another traveler using your own Aeroplan point.
On the plus side, there seems to be no restrictions on using this award certificate only on Air Canada, so it should also apply to Partner Awards.

If you use this line of credit for rewards selling for more than 5,000 Aeroplan points, you can redeem additional points from your Aeroplan account to make up for the excess amount. If you change or cancel the reward ticket based on the rules of your booking, you can restore the certificate to your account with its original expiration date.
Add your Aeroplan account
The good news is that you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Aeroplan (and many other transfer partners) at a 1:1 ratio and redeem them to reward flights.
For example, one of our favorite ways to redeem Aeroplan points is a short economic flight of less than 500 miles on United Airlines and Canada, which can cost 6,000 points, but with this 5,000-point flight certificate, you only need an extra 1,000 points from your account.

At our August 2025 valuation, the five thousand Aeroplan points are worth $70 and are enough to add a stopover to your Aeroplan reward ticket, so having this certificate in the back pocket can save you money and help you maximize your future travel.
