A beautiful series by photographer Yufei MA. Born in Henan Province, China, Massachusetts currently lives and works in Shanghai and New York. He graduated from the New York School of Visual Arts and received a bachelor’s degree in photography and video. Horse’s works are often inspired by personal memory, emotions and life situations. He provides personal thoughts for the past and present, exploring moments that are easily overlooked in everyday life.
“Endless Dreams” captures the emotional and spatial gaps in the rapidly expanding and hollow city of Zhengzhou. Through unpopular cityscapes (abandoned shopping malls, semi-building towers and faded public places), the project reflects the uncertainty of life, detachment and youth status of limited futures. It records these urban edges not backgrounds but emotional landscapes shaped by disillusionment and delay.
