Hi friends! Are you OK? I hope you had a great week. It’s busy here—we’ve been rehearsing the symphony all week—and I’m able to sneak out and have juice with a friend in between strategy calls.

For today’s post, I wanted to share an updated Lumebox review since I’ve been using it for a few months now. This is one of my favorite things to incorporate into my morning wellness routine, and I love it more than I thought I would.

This is my current routine:

– Eye care routine

– Let the children pack their bags and go to school

– Breakfast – almost always protein pudding and daily nutritional support, Truvani, Nuttzo and berries + decaf Danger coffee

– Charging time: Sit on the PEMF mat (code FITNESSISTA15) with my Lumebox, meditate for about 10 minutes, journal for about 5 minutes

It was just a 15 minute routine but it really made a difference in my mood and energy for the rest of the day! Here are more details about Lumebox.

What is Lumebox?

Lumebox is a compact and powerful red light therapy device designed for home use and travel as it is easy to carry. It delivers targeted red and near-infrared (NIR) light to support skin health, muscle recovery and overall wellness. It’s beautifully designed, features medical-grade LED technology, and is super easy to use.

Main features of Lumebox

Dual-wavelength technology: combines red light (660nm) and near-infrared light (850nm) to achieve deeper penetration and enhanced efficacy.

PORTABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT: Small enough to use on the go, yet powerful enough for a complete treatment.

Timer function: automatically shuts off after 6 minutes.

Low EMF Emissions: Designed for safe use with minimal exposure to electromagnetic fields.

USB Charging: Convenient and rechargeable for wireless use.

deal with! This makes it very easy to hold.

How red light therapy can benefit you

Red light therapy has been extensively researched and shown to support multiple areas of health, including:

Skin health: May reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne and hyperpigmentation by stimulating collagen production.

Muscle recovery: May speed up post-workout recovery and reduce inflammation.

Pain relief: Can help relieve joint pain, muscle soreness, and stiffness by increasing circulation and reducing inflammation.

Hormone balance: May support adrenal health and reduce stress-related inflammation.

Sleep and Mood Support: Can enhance melatonin production and help regulate circadian rhythms.

How to use Lumebox

Using Lumebox is easy and only takes a few minutes a day:

Make sure the treatment area is clean and dry.

Hold or place the device 6-12 inches from the target area.

Decide whether you want to use red light or near-infrared light (invisible, for deeper skin penetration), or both

Let red and near-infrared light work its magic as you relax.

For best results, use 3-5 times per week.

How much does Lumebox cost?

The Lumebox device sells for about $629. While it’s an investment, it’s much less expensive than in-office red light therapy sessions, which range from $50 to $150 per session. With 50% off right now, it’s their best price all year. If you want one, I’ll grab it!

Lumebox Pros and Cons

advantage:

Compact and travel-friendly

Effective red and near-infrared light wavelengths

Easy to use, adjustable intensity

Affordable compared to professional treatments

Helps skin, muscle recovery and overall health

shortcoming:

It may take several weeks to see noticeable results

Not as powerful as the larger full-body red light panel

Higher upfront cost compared to some other home devices

I absolutely love it and find it helpful with mood, aches and pain relief. I felt great (knock on wood), but after teaching multiple barre classes, my hip was sore. I used Lumebox and they were like new the next day 😉 While it may not replace high-end full body panels, I think it provides an effective solution for those of you looking for the skin, muscle recovery, and overall health benefits of red light therapy.

We use Lumebox for headaches, menstrual cramps, stomachaches, skin healing (wound recovery) and Maisey loves it too. As soon as I took it out she snuggled up to me!

Should I wear goggles when using Lumebox?

There are some studies that suggest red light can be beneficial to eye health, but as far as I know, it is not an approved eye treatment. At the same time, you guys know that I’ve been very weird and protective of my eyes ever since the great eye saga. Plus, even if red light directed into the eyeballs were approved, I wouldn’t be the first in line to try it. I wasn’t wearing goggles, but I wasn’t looking directly into the light either. I hold it at about a 45 degree angle so it doesn’t shine directly into my face. It also includes goggles that you can wear.
