Present on a whiteboard? It doesn’t have to feel torture!

Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter

When I recruited, two people I represented were asked to go to the whiteboard and show it to the audience. A truly outstanding; one lies on his face, proves the truth of this statement: “A mediocre whiteboard demonstration will lead to interview death.

Here is how to stand out.

1. Practice improvisation and presentations. Never don’t, never wings. If you think you have to show it on the whiteboard, practice your presentation.

2. Please note what you wear. For Caucasians, wearing a white shirt or top on a whiteboard will make your audience lose interest in the presentation when they fit in the backstage.

3. Write and keep the red color strong and keep the red particularly important points

4. Try to avoid starting the demo on the whiteboard. Try to transfer your moves to the initial strengths of your speech.

5. Make sure you can read the handwriting clearly anywhere in the room. This also involves checking the room for glare and drying the lights when appropriate. Write in letters that are at least about 2-3 inches in size.

6. Please pay attention to your appearance when you walk around during the speech.

7. Want to point out things that are incorrect and do them in a powerful way? Tell people what most people believe and write on a whiteboard. Then write down what you found and place a big red “X” directly through the wrong statement.

8. If someone wants to start sketching with you on a whiteboard, consider it as a fun exercise rather than a threat or “self-attack.” Often, the interviewer will try to “break someone” by walking to the whiteboard and challenging the speech point and watching your reaction.
