Chase Ultimate Rewards points are one of the best credit card reward currencies. That’s not just my opinion; TPG’s August 2025 valuation PEG Chase Ultimate Rewards point is the most valuable credit card reward currency.
You can book through the Chase Travel Portal and get good value from the Chase Point. However, you usually get more value by just putting in more effort. After all, it’s easy to transfer chase points to the World of Hyatt, and even easier to redeem for a stay at a Hyatt Hotel.
However, although simple, over the past two years, when redeeming Hyatt’s direction, I earned 3.69 cents. In my opinion, this makes Hyatt one of the most valuable chasing transfer partners.
Especially in the current welcome offer Chase SapphireReserve® (See rates and fees) and Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business- (See rates and fees), now is a good time to think about how to use Hyatt World to get more value from the final reward points. So, let’s dive in.
Why Hyatt is a valuable chase transfer partner
Although Chase has not won a large number of transfer partners, it is probably the highest quality transfer partner. Hyatt World is one of the easiest chase transfer partners to get high redemption value. Like every chase transfer partner, you can transfer the chase points to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. This means that every chase point you transfer to Hyatt Hotel will bring you 1 Hyatt Point.
Hyatt points are more valuable than most hotel points, while TPG’s August 2025 valuation fixed its value at 1.7 cents. My goal is to get at least 2 cents per Hyatt Point, which makes sense, considering the 3.69 cents per point exchange rate I’ve earned with Hyatt Points over the past two years.
The value comes from two main ways that Hyatt Hotels are different from most other hotel loyalty programs: Hyatt uses a category-based reward chart where you can redeem Hyatt points at a reasonable price.
Hyatt Award Chart
The Hyatt Awards chart allows me to redeemed 3,500-6,500 points per night, and can be redeemed for standard rooms in Class 1 properties. Yes, in the United States and abroad, there are many useful and attractive Hyatt Category 1.
For example, I have been staying in Class 1 properties for the past two years, from the practical Atlanta Airport North and Hyatt Dallas/Las Colinas to the engaging story hotels Signalfabriken, Lindner Cologne Am Am Am Dom and Hyatt Regency Bali. The last two attributes after that have been transferred to higher categories, but when I book, they are class 1 attributes.

Even if you prefer to stay in higher categories of attributes, you can still get good value when redeeming the Hyatt Point. Over the past two years, I have redeemed 25,000 points or more per night on 14 dates. During these 14 nights, I averaged 4.66 cents per point.
A three-night stay at 120,000 points on Calala Island, one of the most aspiring features you can book – a comparable paid tax rate of $12,036, which boosted my redemption rate (although the partnership between the world’s small luxury hotel and Hyatt has ended since then, you can still book a Hilton Island spot at Calala Island ta Calala Island). But even if my Carrara Island redemption is not included, my redemption rate for the premium Hyatt property has reached 3.16 cents per point over the past two years.
Hyatt has some excellent high-category features. Although I’m disappointed with my stay at the Park Hyatt River Thames, two of my most memorable two years in the past two have been in Class 7 properties in the Maldives. I redeem 100,000 points for four nights in Alila Kothaifaru Maldives with a paid tax rate of $2,892, a 4-night stay in Park Hadahaa, Maldives for a salary of $105,000, and a comparable salary of $3,519.
Upgrade room type redemption point
What is particularly valuable about Hyatt Awards is especially if you don’t have Hyatt Globalist status, is a reasonable reward rate for rooms and suites with club lounge access.
For example, while the standard room in a Class 2 hotel costs 6,500-9,500 a night, the club access room costs 10,500-13,500 a night, the standard kit costs 11,500-14,500 a night, and the premium kit costs 13,000-19,000 a night.
I have used the suite upgrade award to secure standard suites for multiple stays, including seven nights at the Grand Hyatt Bali, seven nights at the Hyatt Bali, five nights at the Story Hotel Signalfabriken and four nights at the Lindner Hotel Prague Castle. However, if I can’t get these awards through Hyatt’s Milestone Rewards program, I might redeem a few more points a night to make sure I get the standard kit in booking some of these kits.
How do I use Hyatt
I often joke that my chase point is the future happy point. But, it’s true: Hyatt World is my most commonly used chase ultimate reward transfer partner.
I have The World of Hyatt Credit Cards (See Rates and Fees) Spend at least $15,000 per calendar year to earn additional Category 1-4 certificates and six qualified nights. So I earned some Hyatt points from spending on Hyatt cards.
I also purchased the highest annual Hyatt points for most years, at 55,000 points per year. However, when I buy the largest number of Hyatt points in a year and my Hyatt balance is too low to book the reward, I transfer the chase points required for the accommodation to my Hyatt account. However, if my redemption rate is below 2 cents per point, I booked the paid rate.
The ultimate reward transfer always happens immediately, and once I log in and back into my Hyatt account, the dots are displayed. If Chase had ever offered Hyatt the transfer bonus, I might have speculated on more scores – but I highly doubt that this would happen because Hyatt’s world is already one of the most valuable chase transfer partners.
I have Chase Sapphire Priority® Card (See rates and fees), Ink Business First Choice® Credit Card (See rates and fees) and Chase for Freedom® (See interest rates and fees), all of which get me the final reward points when I buy. I earned most points through my ink preferences, and I used my points on most general travel purchases (including public transportation, most flights and some hotels) as it spent the initial $150,000 in selected categories for the year of account anniversary year (including travel).

Bottom line
The Chase Ultimate Rewards program has many valuable transfer partners, ranging from well-known programs such as Mileageplus and Air Canada Aeroplan to overseas programs such as Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Air France-klm Flying Blue. Therefore, Hyatt World is far from the only valuable ultimate reward transfer partner. But this is still the program for me to transfer the final reward point.
This is probably because Hyatt is the only hotel program I’ve considered transferring my credit card rewards to. Other hotel loyalty programs I use either have cheaper ways to earn points (such as purchase points) or provide me with too low redemption rates to transfer valuable credit card rewards. Also, since I don’t have many bonus points, Chase Ultimate Rewards is the only currency I have transferred to the World of Hyatt. Meanwhile, I can get most other valuable ultimate reward partners in other transferable currencies. So, I designated most of the chase Ultimate Rewards points as World of Hyatt.
