For Delta Loyalists who want a VIP experience, DeltaSkymiles® Reserve American Express Card is yours The best Options. I’m a big fan of Delta and when I traveled in the United States I almost completely drove them. I found them to have the best on-board experience, food, entertainment and seating.

If you are a Delta fan and will drive them a lot, then I really think the reserve card has to have. Despite its highest annual fee, it also has the most comprehensive benefits, including Sky Club access, upgrade priority and faster elite identity. It’s very worth it, and the value I get from it is more than the cost.

Here is my comment on the card!

Delta Skymiles Reserve American Express Card Overview

The Delta Skymiles® Reserve American Express Card is Delta’s premium card that offers many benefits and allowances for frequent travel, and is aimed at those who fly on airlines and want more allowances and faster elite status. The annual fee is $650, but I think the card’s allowance is greater than the fee.

This card provides:

  • There are 70,000 miles after using the new card to purchase $5,000 in the first 6 months.
  • 3x purchase in Delta
  • 1x all other expenses
  • Spend $75,000 in purchases during the calendar year, making 15 visits per year when visiting the Delta Club 15 times a year and unlimited visits per year.
  • Enjoy free access to the Centurion® lounge when you book a Delta flight using your reserve card.
  • Free check bags on Delta flights
  • Earn 1 MQD on the card for every $10 spent
  • Obtain $2,500 MEDALLION® eligibility and in each medal eligibility year
  • Domestic first class, Delta Comfort + or main cabin round trip companion certificate
  • Global admission fee or TSAPrecheck® fee credit
  • $240 Stock Credit
  • $200 Delta Retained Credit
  • $120 ride electricity charge
  • 15% Enjoy Reward Reward
  • 20% of eligible on-board purchases

In short, this card has many benefits, and I found that unlike many other quality cards, they are useful benefits! I like MQD promotion, hotel credit, reward redemption return 15% and especially lounge access. I tend to use most of the privileges on this card to make it worth it.

Use your delta point

Delta uses dynamic pricing to reward. This means that the number of points required to book a flight is not the set number. Instead, rates vary according to the cash price of the flight. You can also redeem your points as cash at checkout at 1 cent per mile, but I never found good redemptions and only rarely did that. I only do this if I have low points and don’t have enough redemption for flights and want to save on cash prices.

The 15% discount on the reward redemption makes flights more affordable, so make sure to connect your card to your Skymiles account. If your dates are flexible, you can use their rewards calendar to see the best points fares, as mixing and matching your dates can lead to better deals.

Additionally, Delta offers a lot of reward sales, so be aware of them. Thrifty Traveler and Point.me are two good sites that can send you alerts. I found that Delta mileage is the best choice for domestic economy and comfort and redemption in the United States. I never book business or international flights unless there is a sale. The redemption value is terrible.

Is the Delta Skymiles Reserve worth it?

If you are a frequent Delta flyer, value lounge access, want to quickly earn elite status and appreciate upgrade priorities, then the DeltaSkymiles® Reserve American Express Card may be worth every penny. However, the $650 fee will be difficult to justify for leisure travelers, especially under limited category bonuses.

advantage:

  • Sky Club Access and Centurion Lounge Access Delta Flights
  • Companion Certificate
  • MQD’s platinum revenue rate is twice
  • Upgrade priority
  • Free check bags and priority boarding
  • 15% Reward Flights

shortcoming:

  • Senior year fees
  • There are very few bonus categories spent per day
  • Lounge access restricted

***

The Delta Skymiles® Reserve American Express card is suitable for the most dedicated Delta travelers who want the best experience. Between lounge access, upgrade priority and fast MQD revenue, it offers elite level travel without having to fully fly. If you are on airports and on delta planes on a regular basis, the reserve offers unparalleled allowances.
