It’s a great day for fans of Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. The loyalty program for the new brand was launched without a significant devaluation, new allowances for elite members were revealed, and perhaps most importantly, the new premium credit card comes with some impressive benefits and reveals a huge welcome bonus.
I have always been a long-time holder of Alaska Airlines Signature® (no longer available, now known as Atmos™ rewards on stage visa credit card) and Alaska Airlines Visa® Commercial Credit Card (no longer available, now called Atmos™ RewardsVisaIndature® Business Card).
I was able to bring my family to Hawaii every year using the companion certificates that came with these cards, but it’s recently available Atmos™ Rewards Summit VisaInfinite® Credit Card Take the party to a whole new level.

Highlights of the new Atmos Rewards Summit Card
Because I was one of the first waitlists to sign up for a new card, I got 500 Alaska Airlines Plan Mileage Mileage (now called Atmos Rewards points). This morning, I emailed the application link to another 5,000 bonus points as it was one of the first approvals for the new card.
Given its reliable bonuses, earning rates and benefits, I think this card is absolutely effortless. Actually, I will register even if there are no reward points.
this Atmos Rewards Summit Card In the first three months from the opening of your account, you spent $6,000 in purchases, bringing in welcome bonuses for 100,000 Atmos reward points and 25,000 Global Companion Awards. According to TPG’s August 2025 valuation, the prize is worth $1,813 when you include the value of the 25,000 Points Global Companion Award.
Cardholders also receive a lot of great benefits, including:

Additionally, cardholders receive Atmos reward points at the following rates:
- 3 points per dollar spent on all foreign transactions
- 3 points per dollar purchased on Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines
- Dining 3 o’clock per dollar
- Every dollar spent on all other purchases
There are many other reasons why this card might be perfect for your wallet, but this is already a list of cards with a $395 annual fee.
Apply for a new Atmos Rewards Summit Card
If, like me, you signed up for an early access waitlist, know that the application was a bit confusing at first. Special offers will be in your inbox, which says “Our new loyalty program is here.” Open the email and scroll down to find the special app link to use.
Once the correct app link is found to win early access bonuses, the application process is very simple. It just requires your social security number and personal details.
I immediately obtained approval after applying.
Why the new Atmos reward card and program made me think about Alaska again as my major airline
From the moment I applied, I knew this card would be the core of my card and status strategy moving forward. I like the fact that I get 1 status point on the card for every $2 spent. I should be able to easily reach top titanium with a combination of flight and spending.
If you spend $80,000 on a card (for example, one example) and never set foot on an Alaska or Hawaiian plane, you will still win the gold status (this can translate to Oneworld Sapphire identity and include access to the lounge when traveling internationally).
The Alaska Airlines Mileage Program used to be my elite identity program, but it ended when I moved back to New York from California in 2023. At one point, I used to be a top MVP Gold 100K member, but because Alaska lacks a lot of business on the East Coast, I think it makes more sense to turn loyalty back to American Airlines.
That doesn’t mean my use of the Alaska program, though. I’ve used Alaska Myers to fly to Taipei, Taiwan and returned to Business Class on my partner Starlux Airlines. I also use Alaska mileage to fly business class on Japanese Airlines. I found the mileage (noted now) super valuable.
Now that the new program and premium cards are officially launched, I’m strongly considering getting top titanium status in Atmos Rewards next year. The Alaska partnership with American Airlines means I can still enjoy an elite status allowance from Alaska when flying in the United States. Also, new Atmos Rewards Summit Card Will make it easier to win.
Meanwhile, this year I will ask American Airlines Aadvantage executive Platinum status to start my loyalty to Alaska starting in 2026.
Benefits of having Alaska Trifecta
Now I’ve added Atmos Rewards Summit Card Go to my wallet Atmos Rewards Rise Card and Atmos Reward Visa CardI have a total of three Alaska branded cards to create Alaska Trifecta.
While I haven’t spent much on personal and business cards in history, I do get a lot of uses from their partner certificates.
After spending $6,000 or more purchases during the previous anniversary year, both cards receive a companionship ticket of $99 (plus $23 in taxes and fees) on each account anniversary. I usually travel to Hawaii twice a year.
Since I will use the Atmos Rewards Summit card completely, it’s better to have all three options as options. The Summit Card will be the preferred card for all spending next year.
Interestingly, last year I also opened a personal and commercial version of the Hawaiian Airlines card for a welcome bonus as I expect Hawaiian Mills to eventually convert to a new merger loyalty program.
Opening these two credit cards earned me 138,000 Hawaiian Miles, which converted to mileage plan miles (now Atmos bonus points). This is enough points to book a round trip to Taipei with me last year with Starlux.
Currently, the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard® and Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Commercial Mastercard® issued by Barclays remain unchanged and are still being applied, with Hawaiian Mill members automatically transitioning to Atmos Rewards on October 1. Bottom line
New Atmos Rewards Summit Card It seems like a win-win card, especially if you have a way to use all the valuable Atmos bonus points, you will get it from the bonus and spend it on the card.
Redemption of the Atmospheric Rewards Points for International Travel Unlocked a huge amount of value. TPG’s Eric Rosen and I just used 55,000 Alaska Myers (now Atmos bonus points) to fly to and from London to American Airlines’ new fantasy company.
But remember that these views are more than valuable to partners’ international business-grade redemption. Like TPG’s Summer Hull Recently, you can usually use Atmos Rewards Points to book deals for domestic airline trips in the United States.
If you can use points and companion awards and/or reach a status spending threshold, it’s easy to prove paying an annual fee of $395 to hold this card.
