Why hire you when I can promote someone?

Why hire you when I can promote someone?

Top 10 Network Strategies for Job Search
I hope you understand that this is just a red herring question. By interviewing you, they have said they have decided that there is no one in the interior who is completely satisfied with. Your job in the interview is to make them satisfied with the candidate qualifications for this role.
You may be as blunt as I just said, but I don’t recommend you. What I suggest is a slightly different strategy. What to say according to thisI think it is a great quality when looking at people within an organization, evaluating and evaluating them and determining that there is an upward career path in their career path. (Note: You are praising them).
“But all organizations have to do is determine who is the best person for this role. If you decide that insiders are the best, they should be promoted. Instead, if you look at people from the outside and decide that I am the best person for you (I certainly hope I am), then I will only know that one organization will get a better person with the inside candidate and will allow the company to move forward.”
See what you are doing? You are complimenting them, encouraging them to hire the best job, even if it’s an insider (it’s a humble thing), and finally complimenting them in the case they hire from the outside because they decide that the candidate is the best person.
