When no one is listening, they send a signal. You might interpret the signal as “no one cares.”
Why don’t they care? Maybe it’s because leadership behaves like management.
Maybe the staff felt uninspired.
Maybe they feel betrayed by the leadership.
Maybe they care and don’t think you do that.
Maybe you are not speaking their language.
Whatever the reason, the job of a leader is leadership. Without followers, you are not a leader. This doesn’t mean everyone agrees with you. The agreement provides an opportunity to categorize greater benefits.
Negotiating ideas does not mean surrender. It is looking for greater benefits.
I hope our politicians do this.
Our business leaders do this.
