Why recruiters don’t tell you who their clients are

Why recruiters don’t tell you who their clients are
Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter
Many people think that recruiters who don’t share their client’s name on the first call are terrible or do something wrong.
I know why recruiters may not share clients’ names. Losing two fees, because people answered the phone with me and applied directly, I stopped sharing my client name and instead used a vague description for them. I don’t know you, but since I’m losing $75 or $80,000 in fees, it’s largely my absorption (this is a few years of mortgage payment).
