The latest Florida city Allegiant Air unveils 7 route expansion

Allegiant Air has been expanding its blitz in 2025 and has just announced its latest new city: Fort Myers, Florida.
Starting in November, low-cost airlines will open brand new uninterrupted services at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and offer flights to three cities: Allenton, Pennsylvania; Appleton, Iowa, Wisconsin and Des Moines.
For Allegiant, Fort Myers is a new airport in a very familiar area.
The airline already has an extensive route network in Punta Gorda, less than 40 miles north of RSW in Charlotte County, Florida.
The three new flights from the Florida coast are part of the larger, seven expansion announced Monday night by the airline, known for its services between smaller cities and resorts, which are some little known.
Monday also received new Allegiant flights: Alabama Gulf Coast and cities in Ohio, Indiana and Iowa, not to mention New Orleans.
All new flights will be launched in mid-November ahead of this year’s holiday travel season.

Year of growth in 2025
For Allegiant, these new routes lasted a year in November, which was a number of new flights by the airline, including the Blockbuster 44 route expansion that the airline first announced last year last year.
It is part of the operator’s proven strategy, doubling in places like Gulf Shores, a new 2025 destination on Alabama’s Gulf Coast and miles from Florida Panhandle.
“This is an ideal destination for the backup network,” Chief Business Officer Drew Wells said in a speech at the operator’s Vegas headquarters on July 9.

“We know there are hundreds of people driving four, six or even 12 hours to come there for vacation,” Wells added. “It’s nice to turn driving into a convenient flight.”
Apparently, the Gulf Coast is just one of a few cities that have obtained the new route in this announcement.
Toledo, Ohio will now have four Florida destinations to be held in November. Fort Wayne, Indiana, will fly to the cities of five sunny states in fables. Des Moines will have seven.
Faithful flight discount
To celebrate the launch, the airline said it will offer special discount fares between now and July 30, starting at some routes as low as $49. Customers must book travel flights between February 10, 2026.

Looking to the future
While Allegiant is generally known for its fewer amenities and in-flight entertainment options, the airline’s CEO told TPG this month that the airline is considering adding in-flight Wi-Fi to its aircraft. He noted that the company had a conversation with Starlink – the same service United is currently installing its jets.
