Galerie Gmurzynska plans to open in New York’s Fuller Building

Galerie Gmurzynska will soon move its New York operations to the Fuller Building at 595 Madison Avenue. The gallery moved into the previous space at 43 Fort 78th Street in 2018; according to its website, its last showcased site will be closed by the end of May.

The upcoming move brings the gallery to a long-standing Art Deco architecture with equally important art-historical connections. Fuller was once a hub for New York galleries, including tenants such as Pierre Matisse Gallery, Charles Egan Gallery, André Emmerich, Marlborough-Gerson Gallery, Hammer Gallery, Tibor De Nagy and Robert Miller. (The building was built between 1928 and 1929 by Fuller Construction Company, which has built it as its first headquarters.)
