When you are redundant, fired, fired, RIF
What is the worst mistake you can make in salary negotiations? Well, I don’t know that’s the worst. You know, the simple answer is No negotiation. But I think most people misunderstood when they start negotiations. In fact, negotiation starts with the first question they ask you the question you are looking for. That is indeed when the negotiations begin, but most people think of it when they propose.
So, what are the worst mistakes you could make in salary negotiations? The answer is No negotiation. It’s not clear what you’re looking for in a character, nor what they want because you feel so desperate that you signal them that you’re going to take anything, so they’ve given you anything. What happened is that you’ve got a mediocre offer instead of trying to improve it, etc. So, I’ll say It is wrong not to negotiate.
The second error is It’s dishonest to what you’re looking for in your next job or organization. So they think they can get you to find you cheaply, and they really can’t.
