Alaska Airlines flickering sales on flights between Seattle and Seoul

Alaska Airlines’ latest route is exploding.

In just three days, you can save a lot of effort in the new uninterrupted service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Seoul’s Incheon International Airport (ICN), whether you choose to pay with cash or points.

But you have to act quickly: The deal ends on Friday, September 12 and is valid on flights until December 15. You will take Hawaiian Airlines long-haul plane 787-9.

First, Alaska offers one purchase and one sale on economic tickets booked in cash. This means you can buy your travel companion tickets for just taxes and fees, which is fairly reasonable ($6 from sea to ICN, $36 on return flight). It’s a deal, if you fly with your companions, it’s essentially cutting costs per person in half.

As an additional bonus, both travelers will earn Atmos bonus points and elite status on tickets.

But savings are not over. If you want to book with points, Alaska offers only 20,000 Atmos points for major cabin tickets per piece, or 40,000 round trip tickets, as well as the costs of taxes and fees.

According to Alaska’s rewards list, this route usually costs 30,000 points per method, so the discount on the award fare is 33%. Although you won’t win points in the prize ticket, you can still win a status point for every mile. This is about 5,200 status points, heading towards your next elite level.

If you have some Atmos bonus points that burn a hole in your pocket (for example, from the welcome bonus on a new Atmos credit card), this may be a great way to use them. And don’t forget that you can transfer the BILT points to Atmos in a 1:1 ratio to increase the balance.

What if you don’t live near Seattle? It might be worth finding cheap positioning flights to take advantage of the deal.

If you want to experience the magic of Seoul at a huge discount, book Seattle’s uninterrupted economy tickets on the Alaska Airlines website on Friday, September 12.
