Embraer Orders 100 e195-e2s from AVELO

AVELO Airways will reach a new agreement with Brazilian aircraft manufacturers to reach 100 Embraer E195-E2s.
Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO Arjan Meijer held an event on Wednesday, Houston-based intraday orders for 50 E195-E2s (another 50 buy rights) and deliveries begin in the first quarter of 2027. This order is Embraer’s first E195-E2 in the United States
Avelo CEO Andrew Levy said the E2S will complement the airline’s fleet of 737-800 and could grow to more small and medium-sized markets in the U.S. due to the smaller size of the E2

“When we enter many new markets, or markets that have never had one, it takes a long time to develop those markets,” Levy said. “This aircraft will help us build successfully,” he said. [significant] The opportunities we see in the market. ”
Levy said Avelo’s E195-E2S will accommodate about 140 passengers in an economically-wide layout. He did not specify how many standard economic and French economic seats planned for the aircraft.
The Avelo is equipped with its 14 737-800 and has 189 seats.
Embraer’s order was in Avelo for a period. The airline continues to controversy in its decision to conduct immigration and customs enforcement from the United States. It announced in July that it would end operations on the West Coast of the United States by December and withdraw from 10 cities in December.
In early September, Avelo said it ended a “significant” new round of funding.

This investment includes dating people, Air current Report. Both Avelo and Embraer executives declined to comment on the report.
Starting in 2025, the carrier’s financial situation is after a difficult start.
To answer questions about Avelo’s $13.7 million operating losses in the first quarter, Levy said the airline faced increased competition in some of its core markets, especially Connecticut. He added that competition has since been eased, and Avelo has adjusted its roadmap to address some of the losses.
Levi added: “We’re not only going to be stupid in the first quarter.”
Embraer’s growth
Levy said Avelo’s new E195-E2 will be used almost entirely for growth. Although he wouldn’t name specific destinations that airlines can add with aircraft, he noted that the airport with the relatively short runway of E2 is relatively shorter than the E2.
Embraer will install its short-field performance package on AVELO’s E2, allowing the aircraft to be hundreds of miles from the airport and short runways rather than aircraft of size. The planner cited an example of the possible usefulness of the additional range, based on the 5,076-foot long runway International Airport (EYW).
Avelo will add EYW to its map on November 19, with two flights from Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN), Connecticut (HVN) every Wednesday and Saturday.
Apart from the airport with short runways, Avelo has also seen E2 have the opportunity to fill out its operations at some of its smaller bases. For example, at Lakeland Lind International Airport (LAL), Florida, Levi said the plane could already open some major airports on its map, such as Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) and Chicago’s Ohal International Airport (ORD).
According to Planemaker, the E195-E2 can fly up to 3,450 miles, or it can fly to the distance from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) in Alaska to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
Double E2 and 737 fleets
Levy said Avelo aims to reach a dual fleet of 737-800 and E195-E2 in the coming years. With the arrival of E2, it will retire eight 737-700.
Embraer’s Meijer said the E195-E2’s operating costs are about 30% less than the 737-700. Levy touted the E2S’ shorter range and 2-2 seat layout to choose Avelo to choose the Embraer family on Airbus’ (A220)’s A220.
“I always wanted a new version of the MD-80,” he said. “A 150-seat plane that can fly for 4-5 hours.”
