Enter the underworld through the entrance of Anish Kapoor’s sculpture subway station – Huge

Recently, Anish Kapoor set out to explore the concept in the new entrance to the Monte Sant’angelo metro station in central central Naples. “In the fabulous entrance to hell of Mount Vesuvius and Dante, I found it important to try to deal with what the underground really means,” the artist said.
Kapoor is known for its large-scale sculptures and installations that involve the psychological experience of the viscera, from the permanent rotation of the black water in “lower” to the meat-like wax plates wedged through the doorway in “svayambhu”, which references the sanskrit Word, which means “sanskrit Word”. Of course, in downtown Chicago, there is a “cloud gate” with a mirrored image, called “beans”.
“At Monte Sant’angelo, three indispensable themes practiced by Kapoor are more effective than ever: mythical object, body and blank.” The artist’s design, initiated two separate entrances, drew on his interest in binary relationships such as internal and external experiences, light or darkness.
Two entrances in Kapoor are present in conversation with each other, because one is made of weathered steel with a rusty bronze color that implies an amorphous body form. “The site is an extraordinary symbiosis of sculpture and architecture, which has always been the central force of Kapoor’s work,” a statement said. “Kapoor’s work has both and creates new spaces that are experienced.”
