EP 601 Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter encourages you not to forget to consider your retirement plan.

You don’t need this retirement job training

Hi, I’m Jeff Altman, the big hunter. I am the head coach of Jobsearch.community. Welcome to BS-free Job Advice Radio Episode 601. Today, this is a show and I will remind you of the importance of career paths when you get a quote and when you interview and evaluate a company.

These days, I think a lot of people are becoming sloppy about checking this, judging by what I hear in my coaching class. Hope you help this. And, I want to talk to you about the criteria a person uses when evaluating work offers.

And, you know, it’s important to consider this money. It is important to consider the benefits. I want to point out this problem because it was a mistake I made in the early years of my career.

I just want to make sure you don’t. . . You avoid it on you. Let’s look at the retirement plan. Now, you may be 22 years old and retire for 100 years.

But the fact remains that this may be free money, when complicated in your career, will be the money you will use and need. When I say this, trust me, I wish I could do something different on my own. So, in this case, this is another thing people need to look at when evaluating a quote.

That is the career path. You know, when a company talks to you about job opportunities, you’ve interviewed them for what they are working today. And you also need to ask, where am I going in two or three years from now? If I did a good job, what choice would I have? What does the company usually do to spin people in the organization? Now, this is important because. . . Think about it for a second.

Resign without a backup plan

If you spend the next five years of your life, 15 years of your life, 40 years of your life, I think you want to put the bullet in your mind. And, you know, I know from experience that as a recruiter, you do the same thing over and over again. These videos are one of the reasons to stay fresh.

Because, all day, I keep an eye on my resume. I’m talking to others. I am doing business and opening a new account.

I’m responding to a customer inquiry. I’m negotiating salaries for people, and that’s all the same tasks. So what I plan to do is to create something fresh.

So I started writing books, doing videos, doing podcasts, and doing a lot of things made my job more interesting to me because the job of recruiters was very repetitive. Do you want to be in the position of doing the same job for 40 years without any change? I don’t think so. So, ask them about career paths.

Ask them where you can go in a few years. Obviously, there is no guarantee, but what is the pattern of their spinning people to new opportunities? So, that’s today’s performance. Hope you find it helpful.

And, if you do, I want to encourage you to join Jobsearch.community. This is my website that includes meticulously curated information around my podcasts, videos, articles, all my books and hunting guides, all appear at one price. Moreover, I want to encourage you, please give the show five-star rating in iTunes. I have a link in the show notes.

This will help others discover the show and help them again. So, I will be back tomorrow. At the same time, I wish you a wonderful day.

careful.
