Top hotels can stay on your Amex Platinum credit almost for free

American Express Platinum Card® Offer travelers an incredible range of privileges, from declaring credits to status upgrades to lounge benefits. This results in one of the best membership allowances for all cards, which charges $895 annually (see Fees and Fees).
One of the main benefits of card membership is the annual $300 (up to $600 per calendar year) of stated credit for advance payments, which is part of the American Express Premium Hotel + Resort or hotel collection. The hotel collection takes at least two nights to use the credit. Statement credits of $300 per year per calendar year (up to $600 per calendar year) are now also available in American Express Business Platinum Card®. New business Platinum applicants spend $20,000 on qualified purchases during the first three months of card membership, and can earn 200,000 bonus points.
For how it works, cardholders need to book properties through American Express Travel and pay with their Amex Platinum card or Amex Business Platinum card. After a statement is obtained by a credit, the cardholder may even spend the night overnight (in some cases, almost nothing).
From Bali, Indonesia to Palm Beach, Florida, there are dozens of notable hotels available each night, between $150 and $550 per night in the American Express Premium Hotel + Resort and Hotel Collection portfolio.

Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts Butes

Allowance cardholders collect less properties through hotels, but still worth noting:

Please note that you must book a minimum of two nights in the hotel series, but Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts bookings can be made in one night.

Hotels booked with your Amex Platinum credit
While you can book many hotels in the Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts and Hotel Collection portfolio, some hotels offer little or no discounts and fees once you sell on the year. Regis Lankawi
If you want to escape a Southeast Asian destination with more tourists, Langkawi in Malaysia offers the same spectacular experience without crowds and is usually at better accommodation prices.

The average nightly price is $400, and your statement and experience credits can almost cover your stay in St. Regis Langkawi. Enjoy the white sand beach in front of the property, dip in the infinity pool or indulge in a spa or Malay cooking class. Local attractions like Gunung Raya Mountain and Black Sand Beach are short distance away.

Luxury hotels in Palacio del Inka, Cusco
Shocking times await the city of cusco in Peru, inhabiting the Andes at a distance of 11,000 feet. Living in the heart of the city’s historic center, just across from the Temple of the Sun, Palacio del Inka, Palacio del Inka, a luxury hotel in Cusco, TPG found the average room price was about $430 per night.

The hotel occupies a mansion of about 500 years and features hand-carved furniture, Latin American artwork (including the works in the front) and antiques.
These create a true sense of place and cozy desire for a luxury hotel. The room was painted with rich red and och and decorated with ceramic and tiles, adding to the ambience of the hotel.

PGA National Resort
Play golf in the South Florida sun or relax in the poolside when you stay at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, where you can choose from six championship golf courses to play.
Rooms average about $400 per night, but can usually be much less, especially mid-week.

The resort’s spa offers unique marine-style treatments such as marine human body wraps. You also love the pool you hang out here, with three mixes.

Hyatt Regency Istanbul – Macka Palas
If you are keen to visit cities located on both continents, Istanbul Park is a luxurious luxury hotel. With the average price hovering around $350 per night and as low as $299 at night, this could be a great property to use your Amex Platinum hotel credit.

Located in the famous Nisantasi neighborhood, you will find a street lined up with designer brands such as Hermes and Rolex, while on the other side you are flanked by beautiful cafes, just a few steps from Bosphorus.
TPG prompt: Experience credits for using spa at the spa for traditional Turkish Hammer or the famous restaurant Nusr-et restaurant in the property.
Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai
On average, we find that the Mandarin price in Dubai Oriental Jumeirah is at a low price of $400 per night – considering that the average Lin Oriental property in Europe or East Asia may be three to four times the price.

Located in Jumeira Beach, this hotel is short from the crowds and charm of Dubai city centre. The property has its own private beach, several pools and entertainment areas for couples and families.

The Ritz-Carlton in Bali
TPG recently discovered the Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts series in the junior suite in Ritz-Carlton, Bali, and the private pool overlooks the ocean of NUSA DUA. It’s a splurge to be sure, but there’s a lot to love about this resort.

If you do only one thing, soak in the spa’s five spas in a tropical greenhouse setting.

Taipei’s Mandarin Oriental
This outpost of Taiwan Sea Shi Eastern offers some of the most luxurious accommodations in a bustling taipei. We’ve seen prices as low as $346 per night, so paying $46 per night (after using hotel credit) is pretty stealing – this is before you consider $100 in property credit.

Taipei has some top attributes, but with a trademark like Mandarin, you can’t go wrong. Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits include upgrades to the room (based on availability) and the club rooms on the property are spacious if you can score.
TPG prompt: Using property credit in on-site spa, the address has won praise from locals and guests.
Casa de Campo Resort & Villas
The Dominican Republic became one of the more accessible shows in the Caribbean. And if you’re playing golf, stay at the Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts property on the island’s south coast at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, home to three award-winning campuses.
Please note that renovations have recently begun on the golf course. By the end of 2025, they will be inaccessible (if any changes are made).

We sold for under $570 at nights at Premium Casitas, with the lowest category room priced at just $256. Three Pete Dye-designed golf courses make Casa de Campo an out-of-control favorite for the golfer crowd, and there is an equestrian center and a live dock where you can take a deep-sea fishing trip.

William Gray Hotel
Part of the Hotel William Gray in Montreal, William Gray in Montreal costs around $345 and offers elegant accommodation near the old ports of Jacques-Cartier and Montreal.

Royal Cafe London
Royal Cafe Café is located in the heart of London, just in the Piccadilly Circus, one of the busiest intersections in London and a well-known tourist location.

During the offseason, the average price of the room hovers around $600. At this hotel in the heart of London you will enjoy premium amenities such as a full-service spa, fantastic bar and spacious rooms.
TPG prompt: It may be worth splurge on a premium room or suite as they come with a driver who will take you in a private luxury car near London.

Now both the Amex Platinum card and Amex Business Platinum card now offer a wide range of benefits, with a yearly up to $600 statement lender (up to $300 every two years) staying at American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts + Resorts or hotel favorites being one of the easiest ways CardMembers can do.
