But with many other good options, is the total strata worth the $95 annual fee? Below, we break down important aspects of the card so you can decide if it’s right for you.
Welcome offer

Additionally, the strata Prime Minister earns 3 points per dollar in the following categories (no cap or annual limit):
- Air travel
- Electric car charging station
- Gas station
- Hotel (purchased from non-Western travel)
- Restaurant (including takeaway)
- supermarket
All other purchases cost 1 point per dollar.

Transfer Partners
When determining whether the $95 annual fee for the stratigraphy Prime Minister is worth it, consider which airlines can access the frequent passenger plans. Citi has some great transfer partners such as Qatar Airways Privileges Club, France-KLM Flying Blue and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, but most notably the recently obtained American Airlines Aadvantage.
Although Citi cards with no annual fees are also transferred to Aadvantage, the ratio is disadvantageous at 1:0.7. The Prime Minister of the Formation is the most affordable annual fee card for transferring points at a 1:1 ratio, making it worth investing.
Danyal is a big fan of the Aadvantage program, and his ability to transfer points of thanks to the program is enough reason for him to continue paying annual fees year after year.
Hotel Credit
As a cardholder, when you book through Citi Travel, you will receive a $100 annual benefit of $500 or more per year (excluding taxes).
But while this benefit sounds promising and may be great when living on a standalone property, it may not generate the $100 savings you expect.
Before making a hotel reservation for Citi Travel, please compare the prices of booking a hotel directly to compare whether you get the best price. Citi Travel isn’t always the lowest price, so your $100 discount isn’t actually a solid deal.
Bookings for travel portals like Citi Travel do not usually earn hotel points or honorary elite benefits, so it turns it into a $100 discount.
