Phillips will auction the teenage triceratops on November 18 at its high-profile modern art sale. Fossils are estimated to the neighborhood at a price of $2.5 million to $3.5 million.
According to Phillips, the 66 million historical specimen dates back to the late Cretaceous period, is the first complete teenage triceratops ever and the first triceratops to be auctioned in the United States for a decade.
