In this video, Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter, compares dates and interviews and dissuades you from acting like a stalker or creep.
Is your company trying to hide you?
I am Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter. I’m called “big game hunter” because I’ve been hunting for leaders and employee organizations for over 40 years. You know, there are some things about hard to get dates. Now, I think this is a woman who likes men. Or the other way around? I’m confused about this. I know, for men, it’s trying to quote with your alliance. Well, if there is experience with one or the other that is part of a courtship ceremony, it makes it particularly attractive. So, you know, the idea of dating is that you don’t want to look too eager because people slowly want to slow you down. Go, this guy is a creep. Well, you know, he’s just hard to charge here. You know, it’s not particularly attractive. For women, well, you know, the idea that they will actively pursue men is sometimes considered stalkers. Obviously, no one wants to be a stalker.
No one, no one wants to be seen as creep. Well, now, let’s apply it to job search. Those who call employers so frequently are considered Desperate. You are begging for a job. Unfortunately, what happened is people starting to push you away because they aren’t ready to make a decision. Although you think that is attractive and how desperate you might feel, it is a departure for employers. slow down. Even if it is not yours, you have to work at their pace. I know people are telling you, “Call them. Call them. Call them. Call them. Email them. You know, come on, come on, come on.” Well, but think about it being around them. You never want to be considered a stalker’s location. I know some people call me three times a day. I won’t answer their calls. Why? Really simple. If I have something, if I have something to report, I will contact them. I told them.
But they called me three times a day because they thought they would touch me. I refuse to reward bad behavior. They want to pay attention. But please follow this second. Doing this keeps me away from what they really want me to do, and that’s finding their job. And they paid me nothing. From an employer’s point of view, they will tell you when they are ready to make a decision. You might just put a note down to them occasionally and say, “Hi, haven’t heard from you? Have you moved on this character?” But not multiple times a day, not every day. You’re ridiculous. Pause for one second. Put yourself in another person’s shoes. Is that the way you want to treat it? So, this Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter. Hope you find this video helpful. If you don’t, watch on YouTube, leave a comment, click on the Like button to let people know that this helps you.
