Türkiye Barbacoa

Share this amazing slow cooker recipe from my friend Arsy!
Today, I’m excited to share a new e-book, Real Food Slow Cooker Recipe, written by my food blogger friend, Arsy Vartanian from Ruby and Radish. Arsy and I first met in the Beautycounter world and have been friends over the past year. I love keeping up with everything she does and am happy to hear about her new e-book. You really can’t beat a nutritious, delicious meal that requires minimal preparation. Chop, sauté or mix for a few minutes, toss it into a slow cooker, and continue your day – dinner is ready!
Not only are Arsy’s dishes delicious, but each of the over 70 recipes included in the e-book uses strictly paleo ingredients – no cereals, dairy, sugar, sugar, natural sweeteners, beans or alcohol. Simply have a nutritious flavor and lean turkey protein in every comfortable bite. I mentioned before that I really cleaned up my diet and there was nothing to say, all of these recipes speak my language.
There are a lot of recipes in a real food slow cooker recipe – it will suit the recipes you happen to be in the refrigerator. The recipe I shared with you today did pop up on me: Türkiye Barbacoa. This easy recipe only takes a few minutes to hit the slow cooker before it comes. Plus, it includes some of my favorite savory ingredients like onions, salt, cumin, turkey sticks or thighs and tomatoes. Before you know it, the kitchen will be filled with the amazing smell of this nutritious protein choice.
Türkiye Barbacoa
- 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds
- 1 18 oz jar of plum tomatoes
- 6 Chop cloves and garlic
- 1 Large onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 12 cups chicken soup
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 6 ancho peppers, seeds removed or 4 dried pasillas and 4 Guajillo peppers, stems and part of the seeds removed
- 4 Turkey drum knife or 2 turkey drumsticks and 2 turkey thighs
- Roast sesame seeds in a pot over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Place the seeds in a food processor. Heat the pan over medium heat and add tomatoes, garlic, onions and salt.
- Cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.
- Transfer this mixture to a food processor. Add chicken broth and cumin.
- After sowing the peppers, place them in a food processor and mix until they become a sauce.
- Place the turkey in a slow cooker and pour the sauce over it. Cook at low 6 hours. Remove the turkey from the sauce and place it in a separate bowl.
- Chop the turkey in a separate plate/bowl instead of on the seasoning to avoid falling into small bones. Once done, transfer to the sauce and mix. Cook in a pan and thicken it.
I also like to serve it with lime, cereal or tortillas and a little hot sauce or salsa. I also like to use stuffing to cut tacos or into salads. This is a lean protein choice with a great flavor that can take any Mexican dish you like to the next level. The best cooking is stress-free.
If you try it, please let me know!
