Why is the Prime Minister and the Strata a great pair

While the Citibank Prime Minister is an excellent independent travel credit card, you should consider adding the Citibank to earn another popular bonus and earn more points on your daily expenses.

Earn 2 welcome bonuses

Improve your points

The next selling point in holding these two cards is their supplemental income rate.

However, you can increase redemption value by transferring it to Citi’s airline and hotel transfer partners such as American Airlines Aadvantage, Avianca Lifemiles, and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club. Here are some examples.

Qatar Airways Qsuite to Doha One-way with 70,000 Citigroup

Qatar Airways Privileges Club is another Citi transfer partner that can provide great value. For 70,000 Avios one-way (plus about $200 in tax), you can get to Doha’s flagship business-grade product QSuite (Qsuite) from any U.S. portal. You can use tools like SEATS.Aero to help you find availability.

And you are not limited to bookings with Qatar Airways with Avios. Once you transfer your rewards to the Qatar Airways Privileges Club program, you can use them to book flights to airlines like British Airways and Aer Lingus.

American Airlines’ premium economy to Japan with 45,000 Citi points one-way

You can transfer Citi Thank You bonus points to American Airlines AADVANTAGH to bring the bonus of premium economic seats to 45,000 US miles (plus taxes and fees only $5.60).

Even from East Coast airports like John Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York, you can find availability at this price.

United Airlines’ economic flights are 10,000 Citi points in one-way

You can expand the value of points by booking short economic flights with United Airlines.

By transferring only 10,000 Citi thank you points to Avianca Lifemiles, you can bring short hops like Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) or from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to George Bush’s Internet Airport (IAH) in Houston.

If you are booking these flights directly at the Federation, you will usually pay between 12,500 and 15,000 miles.

This can also be a great way to save on domestic flights when cash prices are high during busy travel such as summer or winter holidays (such as winter holidays). If you have a small amount of reward points for your thank you, then this is a great way to use them.

Boutique or Independent Hotel Accommodation

If you want to stay in a unique hotel, you can transfer Citi Points to a hotel that I prefer to have a 1:4 (1,000 Playboy Points is 4,000) bonus, I prefer points). My preferential hotel reward is a collection of independent and boutique hotels that you can usually not book with points. You can view a full list of hotels available for booking here.

I prefer to use a fixed rate, with prices ranging from 15,000 to 150,000 per night. Since the transfer rate is 1:4, divide the total number of points required per night by four to get the number of points to be transferred.

For example, you can stay at the Great Pacific Hotel, a boutique hotel in downtown Victoria, British Columbia during the summer – a lovely summer destination – for $234 or $30,000, I prefer the hotel bonus points. However, you only need to transfer 7,500 Citi points per night to book the hotel, which is worth 3.1 cents per point.

Bottom line

Citi Thanks for the rewards program offers an extensive list of transfer partners, international partners covering every major airline alliance and some profitable hotel redemptions.

The Prime Minister and the Formation with Citibank both cover most of your spending, giving you the best transfer ratio and giving you full access to Citibank’s loyalty partner, which costs just $95 in a consolidated annual fee.
