Countless points form the bright, bold gradient of the Nanopoto complete hand-hair tattoo – huge

In the hands of the Argentine tattooed Nano Ponto, the lush gradient and surreal ingredients come from the dots and dots. Puntou is completely self-taught and never learned to use the typical machine for many artists who work in the medium. Instead, he embarked on an experimental journey 13 years ago, after which he cried from the primary colors of gray eyes or shot from a vivid beam of light from a flying saucer, resulting in a vibrant design catalog.
Ponto shared that while his process is usually slower than artists who use machines, his tools and methods are simple. “I just need to layer the dots until I get the desired saturation and appearance, which will vary by skin and the characteristics of the tattoo,” he said. “I use several needles to play dot width, resolution, tattoo depth, ink saturation and more variables to create my design.”
Ponto has spent the past few years between Europe and Mexico, and travel in the United States has been crucial to his development from the very beginning, as most artists use newer technologies and do not have the same technical approach. He added: “Ten years ago, I was going to start traveling to meet other hand-sponsored tattoo artists to share experience and knowledge was key because no one in Argentina can do that.”
Ponto’s latest trip takes him to Brooklyn, a guest resident of Atelier Eva this month. Find more information on his usability and bold design on Instagram.
