Chase Ink Business Prime Card Comment: Complete Details

Overview of Prime Minister’s Credit Card for Chase Ink Business
Chase Ink BusinessPremier® credit card is suitable for business owners who want to receive cash rewards on their daily purchases. Its revenue rate is good, but the $195 annual fee you get from the product is high, as you won’t be able to transfer the rewards to Chase’s travel partners for maximum value. Card Rating*: ⭐⭐½
*Card ratings are based on the opinions of TPG editors and are not affected by the card issuer.
Chase has long offered “cashback” credit cards and actually earned Chase Ultimate Rewards points.
This means that if you have another chase card that can earn transferable final reward points, e.g. Chase Sapphire Priority® Card (See rates and fees) or Chase SapphireReserve® (See Interest Rates and Fees) You can transfer cash to the Ultimate Reward Card and then use converted points with Chase’s various airlines and hotel partners.
However, Chase Ink business Prime Minister is a different story because it earns cash back regardless of what other Chase cards you have.
We recommend that you have a credit score of at least 670 to increase your chances of endorsement of this card. You can also apply for a card using your employer ID number, which is related to your business credit score.
For some businesses looking to save a lot of money, the Prime Minister of the Ink Business may be worth considering. This is what you need to know.

This easily offsets the $195 annual fee for the first year, which is a good welcome compared to similar card options. This is the standard welcome quote we usually see on this card. Please note that you will receive a welcome bonus of 100,000 points, which can be redeemed for USD 1,000 in cash.

However, a large number of travel reward credit cards offer welcome bonuses that are of higher value both for both commercial and personal use. While this is a big bonus for business-focused cash cards, most cash back business cards have lower annual fees.
Also, the spending on welcome bonuses for this card is very demanding, so remember that this is something else.
Before applying, make sure you meet all application requirements of Chase, including under 5/24 rules.

Chase Ink Business Prime Minister’s Benefits
In addition to certain protections, the card lacks travel-specific privileges. However, it does have some benefits that can give business owners importance and peace of mind. Some of these privileges are similar to what other Chase Ink cards offer:
- Employee card: Similar to other Mercs, employee cards do not cost any additional fees to the main cardholder.
- Mobile phone protection: Coverage covers up to $1,000 per year, up to 3 claims per year, each claiming $100 per year.
- Purchase protection: This earning covers 120 days of new purchases to fight damage or theft (up to $10,000 per item and up to $50,000 per account).
- Travel Cancellation/Interruption Insurance: If your trip is cancelled or shortened due to illness or due to bad weather or other possible circumstances, each covered traveler (total up to $10,000 per trip) can be reimbursed for prepaid, non-refundable travel expenses (this includes travel and hotel reservations).
- Extended Warranty Protection: The US manufacturer warranty for three years or less will include additional coverage.
- Automatic rental collision damage exemption: Enjoy the main coverage that prevents theft and damage from the United States and most countries in the world. Most vehicles receive up to $60,000 in reimbursement, with the manufacturer’s recommended retail price of $125,000 or less.

Given that you can get the phone protection and similar benefits of the ink business Preferred® credit card, the benefits of this card aren’t particularly exciting compared to competitors.
If you are just buying a business owner who buys cash, the benefits may not matter to you. However, for the higher $195 annual fee, more valuable allowances can be expected, such as transferring partner access or certain statement credits, such as for TSA Precheck or global entry.

Rewards on Chase Ink Business Prime
It should be clear that the Chase Ink business Prime Minister will not earn transferable Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Instead, you will earn:
- 5% cash back travel booked through Chase Travel℠
- 5% cash back from Lyft purchases (as of September 2027)
- 2.5% cash back for purchases of $5,000 or more
- Cash back from all other purchases 2%

Unlimited 2% cashback purchases aren’t very profitable, but considering that you don’t have to worry about bonus categories or spending caps, it’s a solid return. Regardless of your business spending habits, you know you will get a good return when you buy it.
Additionally, buying $5,000 or more cashback for businesses that tend to have bigger spending is a good benefit, and the 5% category is very useful for businesses that expect to book a lot of travel through Chase Travel.

Rewards on Chase Ink Business Premier
Cashbacks earned on the Prime Minister of the Ink Business are tracked as points; each dollar equals 100 points, so when redeeming your rewards, you will notice yourself redeeming points.
Cardholders can redeemed points for cash, gift cards, travel, etc. Your opinion is worth 1 inch.
Unlike other chase cards that receive cashback, you won’t be able to transfer rewards earned by the Chase Ink business Prime Minister to other Chase accounts to take advantage of Chase’s airline and hotel transfer partners.

This is the main drawback of the Prime Minister of Ink Business. For this reason alone, we found it difficult to recommend this card because your choice of maximizing hard-earned rewards is very limited.
For example, some of Chase’s “cash refund” credit cards, e.g. Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card (See rates and fees) and Chase FreedomFlex® (See Rates and Fees) which allows you to combine your rewards with premium cards, including Chatong Sapphire Reserve and Ink business priority.
You can then transfer these points to Chase’s transfer partner to get value above each point, if not more.

Is it worth chasing the Prime Minister of Ink Business?
The lack of the ability to transfer your points to Chase or other Chase cards makes the ink business a bad choice for those looking to maximize rewards. If you are a small business owner who wants to earn points for reward travel, we recommend you research other cards.
Bottom line
Some business owners are expensive and make large purchases regularly and should be able to get reliable value from this card. However, it lacks redemption flexibility for reward travel, limited benefits and relatively high annual fees, which can all have an impact on many small business owners.
The Prime Minister of Ink Business doesn’t know much about the game at all. As a small business owner or someone who wants to receive a reward, you may want to look elsewhere to meet your business credit card needs.
