Welcome Anthony Salcito as Coursera’s new general manager

Coursera CEO Greg Hart (Greg Hart)
I am pleased to announce that Anthony Salcito has joined our new General Manager business starting today.
Anthony is a recognized leader in global education transformation. He brings decades of experience to help organizations leverage technology to improve learning outcomes and build skills for the modern workforce. Most recently, Anthony served as Chief Institutional Business Officer at Nerdy (Varsity Tutors), where he supported educators and institutions through innovative coaching and enrichment solutions. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Global Education during his two decades at Microsoft, pioneering global initiatives including Live@Edu (Office 365), Learning Partners, Microsoft Innovative Interovative Education Programs, and Showcase Schools.
In addition to holding executive roles, Anthony interacts with the wider educational ecosystem and serves on the board of directors of the Western Governor’s University Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. He currently co-hosts the Board of Directors of Teaching Entrepreneurs Network.
At Coursera, Anthony will lead our business – working with companies, campuses and governments around the world to help employees, students and citizens master the right skills needed to succeed in rapid technological change. He will also play a key role in bringing skills tracks – our new, data-enabled learning solution that brings learners from the basics to the experts’ abilities through a proven skill path – to bring experts’ abilities to more clients, helping them close the skills gap faster.
We are pleased to welcome Anthony to the Coursera leadership team and look forward to the impact his experience and vision has when strengthening our enterprise products and delivering content and product innovation to our customers faster.
