Hi friends! I hope you have a great day. We’re back from an amazing trip to New York – I’ll be sharing a recap soon! – and return to daily life. I’ve been dealing with laundry hills, getting ready for the pilot’s birthday and P’s birthday celebrations, and more travel. I’m going to Ft. Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles soon!
I wanted to share something I’ve been working on behind the scenes: helping other IHPs and health coaches launch their businesses. I’ve been working in the networking space for over 15 years (how?!) and I’ve learned a lot along the way to a six-figure networking income.
I love sharing what I’ve learned and helping others start successful online businesses. I’ve started a group paid coaching here – read more about Revenue RX – but I’m also looking into as many free resources as possible. One of my first clients just joined the 7-day challenge and 20 people have signed up!
The first free resource is the Health Coaching Toolkit, which you can download for free here .
Free Health Coaching Toolkit
If you are a new health coach or integrative health practitioner, you may be feeling excited and overwhelmed. You spend months (or years!) studying functional medicine, learning about laboratory analysis, and helping clients change their lives…
But now you ask:
“Okay, how do I run my business?”
I get it. When I started coaching, I had no idea what forms I would need, how to set up client onboarding, or how to keep my systems organized. I want to focus on helping people feel better rather than chasing down spreadsheets and exemptions.
That’s why I created my free health coaching toolkit – to help you skip the confusing trial and error phase and start your practice with clarity, confidence and a system that actually works.
This free toolkit contains everything you need to start or streamline your coaching business – whether you’ve just completed IHP2 or have been coaching clients part-time for a while.
Contents of the Free Health Coaching Toolkit
This toolkit is designed to give you the exact resources I wish I had when starting my practice: all editable, customizable, and easy to brand to your own.
Inside you’ll find the following:
1. Customer registration form
The first step is to understand your client’s health history, symptoms, and goals.
This editable form helps you gather all the information you need to create personalized recommendations without missing key details.
You can combine it with tools like Google Forms or Typeform so customers can easily fill it out online and you can keep everything organized in one place.
2. Waiver and Liability Form
This protects you and your business while setting expectations for your customers.
It includes a confidentiality section, a medical disclaimer, and clear boundaries regarding the scope of the guidance. This is not legal advice. Just give a copy to your attorney and they can help you modify it to fit your unique business and your state’s regulations. This is a starting point that you can customize as needed.
Tip: Keep a signed copy for each client (a digital copy will do!). This is one of the easiest ways to protect your business legally and professionally. I would also recommend purchasing some type of insurance for your health coach. I use alternative balancing.
3. Toxicity test
One of my favorite tools for integrative health practitioners and health coaches.
This quiz helps your clients assess their toxic load so you can guide them into safe, natural detoxification practices before moving into an advanced regimen.
How to use:
Send before the first meeting to understand where they are starting
Visit again in 4-6 weeks to track progress
Use it as an educational resource for a group project or challenge
4. Discover the calling script
If you find that phone calls make you nervous, this script can give you a confident flow for the conversation.
It helps you build trust, ask the right questions, and transition smoothly to sharing your offer without feeling spammy or salesy.
Pro tip: Record your first few calls (with permission!) to check your tone and cadence. You’ll sound more natural and confident with every sound you make.
5. Website and Social Presence Checklist
Not sure where to start online? Even if you’re DIYing your first website, this checklist covers everything you need to create the perfect professional look.
It guides you through must-have pages (Home, About, Services, Contact), branding basics (logo, fonts, colors) and social media profiles.
Quick win tip: Before worrying about a full website, create a simple landing page with your freebie selection. You just need a clear way for people to find you and join your email list.
6. Weekly Content Calendar
Because consistency builds trust and is one of the most important things you can do when sharing your product and unique style/approach with others.
This calendar helps you plan your posts for the week, focusing on five key pillars:
education and value
Inspiration and stories
behind the scenes
got engaged
promotion

Getting Started Tips for New Health Coaches
Even with the right tools, the early stages of coaching can feel difficult. Here are some lessons I’ve learned to help you find your rhythm faster.
1. Don’t make your offer overly complex
It’s tempting to create multiple programs, but clarity is more important. Once you have a solid offer that converts, you can always expand.
2. Build your email list early
Even if you don’t have a full website yet, you can use a simple lead magnet (like this kit!) to start growing your list.
Email is the best way to stay in touch, build trust, and fill customer openings organically.
3. Use time-saving systems
Don’t be afraid to use tools that make your life easier:
Kajabi or better customer management
ConvertKit or Flodesk for email marketing
Canva for branding + marketing materials
These can save you tons of hours of administrative work each week and allow you to focus on client results.
4. Prioritize customer experience
Your first few clients will be your best teachers.
Ask for feedback, refine processes and always over-deliver.
A great onboarding experience, consistent communication, and simple check-in can turn customers into long-term advocates.
5. Keep learning and keep it simple
You don’t need to know everything before you start.
Pick an area to master (such as hormones, digestion, or detoxification) and go for it.
The best coaches stay curious, open, and humble. They are real people too, not robots 😉 Don’t be afraid to share behind-the-scenes footage and the unique things that make you you.
