Andre Leon Talley: Timeless Style exhibition pays tribute to late fashion icon at SCAD FASH

The late André Leon Talley, one of fashion’s most influential voices, is being remembered with a stunning new exhibition titled André Leon Talley: Style Lives Forever. The exhibition, now open October 15-March 1 at the SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion and Film in Atlanta and through January 11 at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah, celebrates the life, vision and unique style of the legendary editor, curator and tastemaker.
A towering figure in fashion history, Tully broke barriers as one of the first black editors to hold senior positions at Vogue, shaping global fashion discourse for decades with her commanding presence and encyclopedic knowledge of style. The exhibition pays tribute to his legacy through an intimate and detailed display of costumes, images and personal artifacts that chronicles his extraordinary career.

Each mannequin in the installation is meticulously crafted in Tully’s likeness, reflecting his signature elegance and larger-than-life persona. This attention to detail underscores his belief that fashion is not just about clothes, but about identity, power and storytelling. Visitors are invited to experience the world through his eyes, from his early life in the South to his rise to become one of the most respected figures in fashion journalism.

“André Leon Talley: Style Lives Alive” is both a tribute and a reminder of Talley’s lasting influence on culture and style. Through this exhibition, SCAD ensures that his spirit—one defined by maturity, wisdom, and unapologetic greatness—continues to inspire generations to come.
