Caramel Apple Cake
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Spread canned apple pie filling evenly over bottom of pan.
- Sprinkle pumpkin pie spice over the top of the apple pie filling.
- Drizzle the caramel syrup evenly over the spices. Using a spatula, swirl the caramel syrup into the lightly filled apple pie. Do not mix completely.
- Unwrap the cake mixture and spread it over the top as evenly as possible.
- Cut each piece of butter into 12 cubes as evenly as possible and spread the butter evenly over the cake mix. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until top of cake is golden brown throughout.
- If the edges brown before the center, cover them with aluminum foil for the remaining baking time.
- Let the cake cool for at least 10 minutes, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce (optional).
