10.17 Friday Favorite – Fitness Guru

Hi friends! Happy Friday! Anything going on this weekend? We’re going to have dinner with friends, go to a fun fall festival, and visit a high school for Liv (how?!). Now, I just spend a relaxing morning with the Lumebox and PEMF pad. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous this week, so I’m hoping we can sneak in some family hiking. I’d love to hear what you’re doing!

The favorite weekly Friday party is here. Here I’m sharing some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love hearing about your favorites too, so shout out your favorites in the comments section below.

10.17 Friday Favorites

Fashion + beauty + casual:

New York adventure! We had the best fall break trip in New York. This was P’s first time and it definitely lived up to her high expectations. She couldn’t believe how tall the buildings were and how much there was to do. Both kids were blown away by the amazing shopping, the beautiful views of Central Park, and all the incredible food options.

Some highlights:

see six With family! Liv and I watched the tour and loved it, I thought it would be perfect for the family broadway Because we’ve already seen Disney’s work. It’s not entirely inappropriate – there are hints of it that would totally fly over a young child’s mind – and it’s short and sweet. There is no intermission and more of a concert-like atmosphere. This cast is crazy— heart of stone Almost made me cry over the white wine – everyone loved it. P said she wanted to watch it again!

Don Antonio’s Pizzeria. Pizza like this always confuses me in the best way. It is soft and waxy, salty, delicious and not greasy. Why are 99% of gluten-free pizzas so bad when such treasures exist? ! Making the perfect gluten-free pizza is possible…and you just have to hop on a plane to get it.

(always margarita with anchovies)

Modern breads and bagels. I’ve been following them on Instagram and added it to our must-eat list. P is also gluten free and we are all constantly disappointed by gluten free bagels and donuts. This place has both, and they are more amazing than I can explain. They taste so authentic! Friends, New York is definitely doing something right.

(I loved it so much I went back the next day to buy bagels to put in my suitcase to take home. The good news is they shipped them!!)

Natural History Museum. Liv and I had been here a few years ago and wanted to take P there. She was blown away by the exhibits and we all enjoyed wandering around. It’s easy to spend a few hours here and a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Central Park. We walked around Central Park for a few hours and found a beautiful grassy area where we could relax and the kids could run free. It was at this time that I imagined my life in New York and what it would be like to hang out here during the week or weekends. life.

Engraving Society with Friends! ! I contacted my friend Heather, whom I’ve met through the blogging world but haven’t seen in person for many years, and I was excited to have her join the Sculpture Society course at UES. The studio is beautiful and we get to take classes from Matt, one of my favorite TSS instructors. (I love them all, though!) It was great to meet Heather and get to meet and hang out with fellow blog reader friend Sana!

Sana contacted me because she lived in New York and I asked her if she would like to take a class together. I love meeting blog reader friends in real life. You guys often tell me that you feel like you know me from reading the blog, but the thing is the same – I feel like I’ve gotten to know a lot of you (especially my OG reader friends) over the years.

Sana and Heather:

(She brought the sweetest gluten free goodie bag! The girls and I had the best dessert picnic on the flight home)

As far as the course goes, I enjoyed it. It went by so fast and it killed my inner thighs. Matt himself was delighted. I loved his energy and teaching style and was delighted to have the opportunity to take classes with him.

We also shopped, ate lots of delicious food, walked around and enjoyed the city. New York is such an amazing place, I hope we can come back in 6 years 😉

(Shout out to our beloved American Express Platinum Card here! We used the $100 RESY dining credit, $200 back on hotel stays, points at our hotel, and free lounge access on this trip. If you decide to check it out, my referral link is here. My credit card travel tips are in this post.)

Olive rose is heeeeere! I’ve been waiting for this day for months as I shake my empty bottle of Skin Tint. It’s lightweight and buildable, like skincare and makeup in one. I also ordered some lip balm and blush to try and restocked my beloved body wash.

Read, watch, listen:

Reading this article now, it’s interesting to see how tongue posture, swallowing, breathing, etc. affect facial shape and structure. (In addition to physical effects, correct breathing mechanics also have a huge impact on sleep and the nervous system!)
