Another Brooklyn art fair returns with a bold new experience — Colossal

Brooklyn, it’s time for you to play with art.

The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, will return to ZeroSpace in Gowanus from November 6-9. This fall’s art fairs are more colorful, bolder, more delightful and unpredictable than ever before. With more than 125 independent artists, immersive installations and interactive moments around every corner, it’s where creativity and curiosity converge.

Opening Night with DJ Crystal Queer and Mariyea
The exhibition kicked off grandly. Light up the lights Thursday night with a high-energy DJ set from DJ Crystal Queer and a live performance from Brooklyn powerhouse performer, actress and drag icon Mariyea. Both are supporters of Black Trans Femmes in the Arts, the art fair’s official nonprofit partner, whose mission is to celebrate and elevate Black trans and gender non-conforming artists. Expect glamour, energy and pride.

The Glory of Atelier Cixous
Floating above the exhibition is Splendor by Australian art and design team Atelier Sisu, inspired by the fleeting magic of sunlight. See how the sculpture changes day and night at the exhibitionA reminder that even light itself is an ever-changing work of art.

Hypersonics, the “diffusion choir”

Hypersonic power plant
Immerse yourself in the action with not one, but two mesmerizing powerplants built by Hypersonic. These sculptural pieces pulsate, swirl and shimmer in rhythmic movement. Perfect for those who like to immerse themselves in soothing, ASMR-like moving art experiences.

(Brooklyn) Cloisters – bar installation
Abbey is moving to Brooklyn! Step inside “The (Brooklyn) Cloisters,” a bar installation designed by creative duo Richard Hoffman and Adam Rose that reinterprets the iconic Met Cloisters in a contemporary style. This fantastic piece is a collision of medieval ruins and modern art, each piece a playful reimagining of an “ancient” piece using new materials and bold styles.
