Autumn Juice Date-Fitness Guru

Juice dates with my online friends.
Hi friends! Are you OK? I hope you’re having a great week so far! I’m back to homeschooling and mom mode now that the trip is over, but looking forward to a hot yoga class this afternoon.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a juice date, so I’d love to chat about what’s been going on lately and see what’s going on in your lives! So grab your favorite drink and let’s chat, shall we?
If we drink juice now…

I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to lately! Is fall crazy for you too? How are your children planning to spend Halloween? Any fall or holiday travel plans?
I’m traveling to Los Angeles in a few weeks, which I’m looking forward to, but other than that, we don’t have any travel plans right now. (Side note: We are having a party on November 13th, so if you are near the Manhattan Beach area and would like to attend, let me know and I will send you the details!)
I love always knowing when our next trip is happening – it gives me something to look forward to when I’m busy, which I’ve heard is a trauma response but I ignore it – so I’m crossing my fingers that we can book a Disney cruise or something fun soon. The girls have been begging to go to Korea and Japan, so I think that will be our next big trip after Liv graduates from eighth grade. If you have any recommendations, please let me know! This is new territory for me. (Liv was a little confused because we could have served in Korea multiple times but chose other PCS top picks.)
For Halloween, Liv and her friends dress up as boxers (cute tracksuits and boxing gloves), and P is an inflatable costume that looks like an alien is holding you. P turns ten on Sunday and I can’t believe it!
I’d like to know what you’ve been reading/watching/enjoying lately. i like this season dancing with the stars and sound. I see Distributed WTS With the kids – they love it too! –and sound A few times a week when I’m walking on the walking mat. i am reading frozen river Now – this is intense and I’m enjoying it so far.
I want to hear how you are doing…like how you are now real is doing. No fluff; the real deal. I want to tell you, we’re in an interesting season. We are still trying to navigate the pilot’s travel schedule with my work life and homeschooling. I also admit that homeschooling is great, but it’s not always easy. I have these cute ideas about all the field trips we’re going to do and the crafts we’re going to do, but the reality is that by the time we get everything done and have lunch, I’m lucky enough to have one chore done and a few work tasks completed before we have to pick up Liv and start after school activities/homework/dinner.
I know we will eventually find balance. The good news is, she’s doing well academically, and the pilot helps her with homeschool stuff while he’s in town. This is when I batch client calls and podcast interviews. It was meant to be a bridge – not a forever thing, unless that’s what it needed to be – and she started saying she missed her school friends. We’ll see what happens in the end, but we’re taking it day by day.
I’m just trying to be honest, because online we see a lot of sourdough being made on a farm, harvested from the garden, eggs collected, cows milked, the romantic version of homeschooling, but sometimes that’s not always the case. 😉
I want to tell you about the Reimagine Wellness Summit and my excitement after the summit. These types of meetings always light a fire in my soul, but this one was particularly impactful. I feel so honored that I was selected to speak on a panel of health coaching experts along with some of my best integrative health practitioner friends (and women I greatly admire), and thanks to your overwhelming support, I ranked 7th in sales of over 5,000 IHPs during our 100-day challenge. (I was 7th last year too!) I feel motivated about what’s next and what I should be doing and excited to see it unfold. When I first interviewed Dr. Cabral on the podcast a few years ago, I knew he was creating something truly amazing and I couldn’t be more excited to be a small part of EquiLife and IHP’s mission.
I also wanted to ask your thoughts on peptides, especially GLP-1/GIP. I know this can be a heated topic, but I’m always interested in hearing any thoughts my friends have on the health/wellness world. I’ve always been a fan of certain peptides and their capabilities, such as collagen peptides, the OneSkin products I use every day, glutathione, and NAD+, but I’ve long been averse to GLP-1. I learned more and changed my thinking, especially when it comes to microdosing.
As far as I know, there are no large studies on microdosing. GLP-1 has been around for a long time, but studies were based on larger therapeutic doses. Quite a few health experts I trust talk about the longevity benefits of microdosing.
I’ll definitely report back if I end up trying it, as I’ve heard it’s good for blood sugar response, inflammation (I’m feeling super inflammatory right now), and perimenopause. I don’t think you should rely on these things – you should test them to see what potential imbalances are going on – but they can be a useful lever if you feel stuck.
I’ll be keeping an eye out to see if you’ve tried any good recipes lately and what to make for dinner tonight. I made this beef bowl for the first time about a month ago and the girls request it frequently. It’s so good and so satisfying! I also started adding artichokes to it. The mixture of sauce + beef and vegetables was amazing.
I also wanted to ask if you wanted to share some gluten free food with me 😉
Friends, thank you for catching up and being here today. Have a nice day and I’ll see you soon!
