Photographers, it’s time again! The Booooooom Photography Awards are back for a fourth year and entries are now open. This year’s categories include Portrait, Nature, Street, Color and, for the first time ever, a special student category. Our friends at Format teamed up with us once again to make this happen. We are delighted to have an elite jury joining us this year to help highlight the most outstanding work. The winner in each category will receive a $1,000 cash prize, editorial and social coverage, a feature in our print publication and some goodies from some of our friends. Plus, we’re giving away three lifetime format website subscriptions.
Format is an online portfolio builder for illustrators, designers, artists and photographers. The platform is streamlined for the needs of professional creators, offering over 90 themes with a wide range of design variables. Their new Flexible Blocks tool allows users to drag and drop images, videos, text, buttons, and more to create custom layouts. Everyone is welcome to submit an image to these awards for free. Members enjoy unlimited submissions and unlimited images in all award categories. If you would like to submit multiple images or enter the competition in multiple categories, please consider becoming a member here!
This is a chance to have your work seen in a new light by someone who knows a thing or two about photography. This year, it’s not just our team that’s judging, we’re also inviting a panel of expert guest judges. Scroll down to see who we have!
All 5 winners, as well as the 20 shortlisted photographers, will be featured in our special awards print publication created specifically to showcase your work. The magazine won’t be for sale; instead, we’ll send it directly to people we admire (editors, curators, tastemakers, you get the idea). The winner and runner-up will each receive a copy as well as Booooooom editorial coverage and promotion on our social channels. We will also have a long list of over 100 photographers who will be promoted through our social channels.
