Delta Air Lines to resume 2 more Israel routes

It looks like American Airlines is ready to go all-in on Israel again.

Delta Air Lines announced Friday it would resume flights to Tel Aviv from Atlanta and Boston after disruptions during the war between Israel and Hamas.

Beginning April 15, 2026, flights from Atlanta will operate three times per week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Meanwhile, daily flights from Boston will resume starting October 24, 2026.

Delta suspended all Tel Aviv flights during hostilities and then only resumed flights from New York during periods of relative calm.

The airline has now resumed daily flights between New York and Tel Aviv, with plans to add a second daily flight between November 30, 2025 and January 19, 2026, to meet increased winter travel demand.

As before, Delta will fly an Airbus A330-900neo from Boston and an Airbus A350 from Atlanta.

This comes after American Airlines announced last week that it would resume flights between New York and Tel Aviv. United Airlines also previously announced a third flight between Newark and Tel Aviv starting next year.

During the war, El Al held a monopoly on transatlantic service to and from Israel, after which the airline posted record profits.

Israel has historically been a strong market for American airlines, and it’s no surprise that Delta is expanding its presence by reviving two more Israeli routes.

Of course, a lot can change between now and October 2026 (using the Boston route as an example).

Note that Delta has a codeshare partnership with El Al, so if flights are canceled due to further unrest, the airline should be able to offer you a nonstop flight with its partner.
